Nestled within the small community of Fox, just 10 minutes from downtown Fairbanks, this home is conveniently located in the valley with exceptional views of the Aurora Borealis.     If very rustic & little amenities wanted, this is for you. No internet, dvds only. Says sleeps 4, not sure how. My friend slept in the bedroom. I slept on the sofa. Its not a sleeper sofa, so it fits only 1 person. We did really like the sofa, so comfy. We chose to chill inside, going out for a daily walks. Saw the lights 1 morning, could not see them with the naked eye. We were fortunate to see them through the phone camera. The place could use a few side tables to put your coffee/drinks on, would make it comfy to watch tv and relax. With the tables add a lamp. Ceiling lights a bit bright to relax, and a night light. Maybe a table to eat at.I would state on listing there is no internet, fortunately, my friend brought her hotspot. She suggested lose the dead fox on the wall, a bit scary and have a few ice cube trays.

    Easy location for our stay. The shower looked a little sketchy so we didn't use it. It worked for what we needed but the dishes didn't really seem that clean so we just washed before use but overall it was ok.

    We spent a few nights here while getting our son all settled in at UAF. We were gone most of the time during the day but the evenings were quiet even though it’s right off the road.

    This cabin was exactly as desribed! A little rustic, but had all the basics we needed. It was easy to find and access and it was out of fairbanks a little bit for a little extra quiet. We enjoyed our stay - and if you're looking for a no frills place to stay, you would enjoy it too!

    Northern Lights Bucket List Trip

    Communication with host was good and check in/out was easy. Cabin was an excellent jumping off point for seeing the Northern Lights, being north of Fairbanks with less light pollution and near Cleary Summit, but still close enough to town to go out to dinner. The Turtle Club is literally within walking distance and Fox General Store is right down the street for last minute supplies. Overall this is a good deal if you're looking for somewhere to sleep and a home base for exploring the Fairbanks area.
