Le Chai self-catering cottage in the countryside 10 minutes from Bergerac town center

The Chai is a spacious, single-story house at the rear of the owners' house. Formerly a wine-making barn, it is now an elegant and comfortable holiday home. Large French doors open onto a lovely private terrace, the private garden, and the entire shared grounds, fields, and woods beyond.
Inside, there is a large living room with 2 sofas and a well-equipped kitchen at the other end (the fireplace is unfortunately no longer up to code for use).
There are two bedrooms, separated by a well-appointed bathroom. One has a double bed, the other has two single beds.
The terrace is furnished for outdoor living, with a dining table and griddle. Open the small gate at the end to access the larger grounds. Stroll through the park to the stream to relax while your children play.
In the park of more than 1 hectare you may come across the holidaymakers from the 2 other cottages (for 4 and 2 people) located on the opposite side of the owners' house.
We are located 10 minutes from Lake Pombonne to enjoy swimming.
Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a kitchen, a washing machine, and a fireplace.

Ideal location

The gite is very comfortable and well-equipped. The location is excellent for visiting Bergerac and the surrounding region.

Clean and well equipped property

The property was clean with a well equipped kitchen providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The terrace, garden and furniture provided are lovely and spacious. Ludivine and her family were very welcoming and kindly provided outdoor toys for our son to play with. He really enjoyed playing with the dog and visiting the sheep each day. We did encounter some noise from the adjoining property in the evening but this is only an issue if your children go to bed early. Bergerac is very close by and we enjoyed outdoor swimming at Parc de Pombonne.
