Thanksgiving

Gatehouse was just what we needed over thanksgiving to accommodate family. We’re able to prepare the dishes in the kitchen and enjoy our meal on the premises as our house nearby is too small.

A little piece of heaven

My wife and I stayed with friends of ours in this fantastic house. While it was newly renovated it still captures the feel of an authentic Italian home. The pool was great and you have to experience the wine pairing. Our hosts Shaun and Mike were second to none. This is a must see! our stay

The property is beautiful, spacious, and comfortably accommodated all six of us. The pool and outdoor area were amazing! However, several issues affected our stay. No one was there to let us in when we arrived. I texted the appropriate contacts without a response, then called and was told someone would arrive within 15 minutes. We waited over a half an hour. The outdoor area appeared to still be set up from an event, with full garbage bags, chairs, and tables near the pool. The ice maker was not hooked up, and the propane tank for the fire pit was nearly empty. We were also disappointed by the lack of privacy. Property managers came by multiple times to water flowers and do other tasks while we were outside in bathing suits using the pool. Lawn care workers also mowed and weed-whacked one morning, creating a lot of noise while trying to enjoy the patio. We also heard what sounded like an animal, possibly a squirrel or chipmunk, moving inside the ceiling in the kitchen and upstairs bedrooms. The home was a great fit for our group, but the delayed check-in, unfinished cleanup, unavailable amenities, interruptions, noise, and possible animal issue made the stay less relaxing than expected.
