Wonderful secluded oasis

Our second time staying at the house. We absolutely love the property and all its surrounding wildlife. Enjoyed spending time hiking, fishing, crabbing, and watching eagles flying over the water. The house is clean and well stocked, and the game room is a great place to spend time in the evenings or rainy days. The hosts are attentive and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again!

Wonderful Experience

My family (adults, kids 9yrs and under, and dogs) and I had an amazing time at this beautiful property. The views of the water surrounding the home were absolutely breathtaking. There was so much to do for the whole family: pool, kayaking, fishing, firepit, taking long walks and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, and being able to clearly see the stars at night (unlike in the city where we live). The home itself had everything we needed and we loved the personal touches and character of the home. On top of that, there was great communication with the owner and she was very kind/responsive to answer any questions I had. Thank you for sharing your home and allowing us to make memories our family will cherish!

Beautiful property

Had a great time. Beautiful home with everything you could need. Pool kayak and pool table was very nice to have. Very private but close enough to drive to other areas for fun.

Great place--very private

This property has a lot to enjoy. We liked the game room, dock for fishing and the kayaks. We played a lot of cornhole. We also liked the many outdoor seating areas--there was always somewhere comfortable to sit at any time of day. The site is very private and is somewhat remote from amenties. So it made for a more intimate family reunion without a lot of offsite trips. The site manager was extremely helpful and attentive and the checkin-checkout processes were super smooth.

ESVA Getaway

The views and the history of this area are memorable. One of my teens expressed the desire to come back and as other parents can attest; that is meaningful! The pool and the game room were a wonderful bonus to the landscape.

Relaxing Breeze

This is a very nice property and very relaxing. If you don’t like being bothered by a crowd then this is for you. The property is designed for relaxation, fishing, crabbing and kayaking or just hanging out by the bay! The owners are very good to deal with.

Wonderful Vacation

The house and all its amenities were just as promised! The kids had a great time in the pool, fishing and kayaking. Property was beautiful and although the layout of the house was a little awkward for our youngest and sleeping arrangements, it was a great summer getaway!

Summer vacation and a celebration of life ceremony.

The property is beautiful - overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. We were able to set pots for Chesapeake Bay blue crabs, and also found oysters nearby. Both were excellent after we steamed them in the pot provided. The game room is excellent for pool players, and having a small get together. We were lucky enough to experience two seasons while we were there - hot summer and early Fall. We used the fire pit and also enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boards. The air conditioning kept the house at 70° when it was 96° outside.

Wonderful stay

Our family enjoyed our stay very much. Mary was very responsive with all our needs. The teenagers enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. The pool was great and very clean on arrival. We also enjoyed using the crab pots to catch crabs right off the front of the house. We would definitely stay here again!

Christmas in July

This was a Christmas gift for all my adult children, our first vacation all together. The property was PERFECT for us with all the activities available, billiards, swimming pool, crabbing, grilling, cooking etc! We had a great time and would definitely recommend it. I loved how it was so comfortable, we were very relaxed with a two year running around…..

Family Vacation

This was a perfect spot for our family, including our 2 dogs! Plenty of room for the 10 of us and 2 dogs to spread out. Love all of the outdoor spaces (firepit, pool, hammock, patio and the large yard to play frisbee and cornhole! We also enjoyed spending time on the pier as well as kayaking (even saw some dolphins)This is a place that would be great year around. I am keeping this home on my list for a fall vacation too!!

Loved this property

The homeowner was always available by phone. We didnt have any issues. We were able to fish and catch crabs. The teenagers loved the paddle boards and game room. We loved all of the little sitting areas in the yard. The pool was amazing. The house was stocked with everything you could need!! We will be staying here again!!! Thank you so much!

Private retreat

Super clean! It was great to have 2 refrigerators that were completely empty upon arrival. We used the kayaks and paddleboards every day. The pool was great even though it was a bit chilly late May. In an earlier review someone mentioned the pool cleaner, we thought he came at the perfect time and left the pool crystal clear. The beds were very comfortable and the porch was everyone's favorite spot. All the appliances are very new and the kitchen is well stocked. You won't be disappointed if you choose this property for your next vacay.

Great getaway on the Cape!

Beautiful property that is set up well for gathering - fire pit, water toys, huge yard, etc. Nice set up for friend groups or families. Highly recommend!

Secluded Chesapeake Bay getaway

Absolutely loved the waterfront landscaped property! Our family had an awesome time hiking around the property, crabbing, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. So quiet and private, we did not see anyone, except for the occasional crabbing boat. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the pool house/ game room. The biggest downfall was the poor cell service/ internet, which was mostly nonexistent, which also meant the tv never really worked. We truly felt like we were cut off from the outside world, which in a way made the trip even better!

Wonderful Vacation!

We were a group of 10 family members and 2 dogs that came from all over to get together at this wonderful property. There was plenty of room and definitely lots of activities. We used the pool, took kayak and SUP excursions, and took advantage of the fun in the pool house. We had lots of plans to go out that faded once we were there. Cell Phone reception/wifi was definitely spotty and clearly stated in the description. Personally, that was the best part. I was truly able to disconnect from everyday life. There was a pool service guy that was super friendly and never made us get out. We kept it fairly clean ourselves even after the storm the 1st night. Which brings me to our rough start to losing power due to a close lightning strike and it being resolved within an hour. The hosts have a binder with anything pertaining to the house, down to the best times to go crabbing. They also were easy to communicate with, even with my spotty reception. My only complaint... it went too fast and I hope we are allowed to return! Thank you!

Fun for all ages!

My family enjoyed our week so much! The house was very clean and set up so we could enjoy both family and private time. They also provided so many amenities such as the pool, kayaks, paddleboards, pool table and corn hole. Mary's house book was extremely helpful and as the house is centrally located we were able to take advantage of the local attractions such as Cape Charles Beach, The Blue Crow antique mall, Chatham Vineyards and The Exmore Diner. Definitely one of our top vacations!
