The accommodation was good, staff were very kind and friendly. Room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a lot of money for what it was. Eggs and sausages were cold. Juice was not great. Coffee machine produced Luke warm beverages.

Lovely friendly haven

It always helps when the weather is beautiful, 34 degrees. The hotel is easy to find and has ample parking. You are greeted with the most friendly of welcomes. Arthur is wonderful, so helpful. Rooms are clean and functional, the aircon excellent and wifi is good. The pool area is wonderful, make sure you find time to relax there. Breakfast is great, lots of options in this buffet. We ate dinner twice, food was very reasonable and i recommend the beef for meat lovers and the vegetarian stroganoff was amazing. All the staff are wonderful. Evora is just a 5 minute drive with plenty of free parking outside the walls. Also next to the hotel is a fabulous Pingo Doce supermarket. All in all a fabulous little hotel.

Better than other 4 stars in Portugal

I usually don't go for less than 4 stars but prices in the area were ridiculously high so I chose this 3 stars. Better than other 4 stars I've been to in Portugal. I was upgraded and the agent at the reception was fantastic and very helpful. Huge swimming pool, no elevator but only one floor up and even if rooms need a little love and update, overall I would recommend.

Perfectly Acceptable Property

I was in Evora to do some field investigations and did not wish to stay in the city, so the location of Casa do Vale was fine. The pool area is lovely and the pool sparkling clean, just like in the photo but even prettier. All of the staff are polite and helpful and go the extra bit to make guests happy, one of the really nice things about Portuguese hotels in general. The included buffet breakfast was ok but not outstanding. There are several choices, however.
