We stopped on our way from Calais to Mazamet, the hotel is in a great location just of the main route south. The rooms are a reasonable size and clean, they even had tea and coffee. Our only gripe was the pillows were not that great but we still slept ok. The restaurant was good selling well cooked reasonable food. Also the staff were friendly and helpful. We will probably stop here again when we next drive back to the UK
Travelling from Calais to Toulouse this hotel was in a perfect location, just off the N154. Late check in and very welcoming staff made it an ideal place. As a single traveller €73 a night was pricy - but with Kyriad you know you will get a warm, comfortable and secure stay, so it's worth paying
I was travelling with a group of 13 people and were lucky to have found the accommodation for all since we booked few days before our departure. We were given almost double rooms but also rooms for four people. We all were satisfied with rooms: bed was comfortable and bathroom was cleaned. There is a free car park right outside. The only negative side is that the hotel is a bit isolated and you can't go anywhere by feet.
On first arriving I was a little concerned as the hotel is on a light industrial estate. Staff most helpful. Room and bathroom good. Meal excellent. Good value for money en route to the south west. Highly recommended.
Stayed overnight on a driving trip from La Rochelle back to UK. We're given a room with o towels and not soap, shampoo and the WC flushed all night. Told receptionist about the items missing and she said that we should not have been given the room as it is for staff only. Offered to discount by 9 euros. One of the rooms across the corridor seemed to be occupied by about 6 immigrants and one of them collected a large tray of food at breakfast and took it to the room. Very sadly we have been using Kiriad hotels for 2 or 3 years but will no longer use them
Travelling back to the UK from the south of France, I chose this as it is just 3 hours from Eurotunnel. It is just what I expected for a quick stop hotel. Very convenient just off the dual carriageway, it was perfectly adequate for a rest and shower before the next 10 hour drive. Up at the crack so can't comment on the breakfast. I would stop here again simply due to its very average rating - not expensive, quite comfortable, clean and lots of hot water. Works for me if you just want to get your head down and go the next day.
We booked this hotel online a number of months ago as an overnight stop whilst driving through France. We picked this particular hotel as it was just off the main road, had a restaurant & could accommodate 4 people in a room. When we arrived we were told they don't have any 4-person rooms at all. The man on reception was very helpful & with his limited English (& our even more limited French) he opened up a new annex building & moved a mattress from another room onto the floor of ours. Not ideal, but it saved trying to find somewhere else. The room itself was very clean & in excellent condition. We also later discovered that the restaurant was not open that night so we had to venture into Evreux to find something to eat. Breakfast was OK, but choice was limited compared to our usually experience of breakfast in French hotels.
This is a nice hotel in a good position, but it does not have 4 bedded rooms, as advertised, as we found to our cost. We arrived a 18.00 hours after a very long day with two adults (grandparents) and three girls aged 5, 8, and 13. We had booked a single room for Granddad and a four bedded room for Grandma and the three girls. There was also another family of four in the same situation. This was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was closed. I would like to add the the only member of staff on duty was excellent and should get employer of the year. He arranged for pizzas to be delivered and set a table in dining room.
The hotel was very ordinary even for a budget hotel. The staff had no idea what was going on and absolutely nothing was available on the weekend. It was a bed and a shower and that was about it. Very dark and dank.
Very simple to break my journey here, pleasant surroundings despite being close to the main road. Excellent service from the weekend staff member. Room and bed very comfortable and clean. Will definitely use again. It would be helpful if some form of 'snack' could be available when the restaurant is closed at the weekend.
