A dignified Hotel with variety .Lovely pool with grass&hard ground areas. Also lovely shady area(creepers)with tables&chairs.Lounges with plenty of reading matter. Breakfast with hot &cold food.Need more staff when there are a lot of people to check in or out.to avoid long waits. One person is not enough.Care with towels..no bath mat one morning & no bidet towels another.Overall excellent value.
Really enjoyed this lovely weekend at this Charm Hotel Pateo dos Solares, is a comfortable combination of a traditional and modern design in the amazing vineyard region of the Alentejo, and Estremoz is vibrate typical portuguese city with main players of Winemakers in Portugal!!
We stayed here for two nights on a our tour of the Alentejo. We were initially offered a double room with a conecting door and although the room was good we really do not appreciate conecting doors so asked to be moved. After some discussion and an offer of a room in the garden annex (not as good as the main building) we were accommodated in the main hotel. It seems the hotel was due to be full the following night due to a tour group (japanese) staying. Room was on the first floor and although perfectly acceptable was rather grey and functional rather than charming. Room had a large circular window which overlooked the garden/pool area. Room had everything we needed. TV, mini bar and aircon. Bathroom again was OK. Pool however is the highlight of the small hotel. Breakfast was fine however on the morning the group came down 'en masse' the staff struggled to cope tables were not cleared fast enough and food was not being replaced. Location is within a five minute stroll of the town center. There is ample parking around the hotel. Staff speak english.
Situated in a beautiful walled garden only a few minutes walk from the centre of this charming little town, the hotel is a peaceful and luxurious place. It is a short drive to the Lisbon to Spain motorway which makes it easy to explore the area and visit the hill towns such as Evora and Elvas and the local wineries. We stayed for a week and were given a large comfortable room with its own terrace. Service was very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was so good it was accessible in the garden and pool area. Nice breakfasts and dinner though the menu does not change and most guests seem to eat out in the town. We really enjoyed our brief holiday here and would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you enjoy pease and quiet.
Probably the best hotel in Estremoz, one a biggest wine regions in the country, it offers a great service and accomodation in modern yet tradicional atmosphere. Ideal for a weekend getaway with the Family, it allows you to experiencie the Alentejo with confort!
Very charm and well decorated small Hotel. Location is great, just a short walk to the city center, were you will find all the restaurants and shops. Great Breakfast, both in diversity and quality. Good and large rooms. Very romantic atmosphere , great for a relaxing stay.
This is a small hotel with very nice rooms. The view from our room (in the second floor) was magnificent and the hotel was quite full but was very quiet. The room was spacious and very clean, big windows, a lot of light - since very early in the morning. The matress is soft, not our preference, but confotable enough. The staff is professional and the outside area is lovely, was a small garden, a lovely terrace and a very good pool. We were quite sorry is wasnt wamer so we could profit from all that. The breakfast could be better although the coffee was the best in a long time. The hotel has wifi, but we were in a corner room and the wifi there is not avalable.
We had a very nice stay in this hotel late February. Not many other guests at that time so we had the breakfast room for our selves most mornings. Our room was a big corner room on the first floor with very comfortable beds, a big bathroom and two oval windows facing the main gate and the hotel garden. The staff was very nice and helpful. We tried the restaurant for dinner once, but that was a disappointment. But definitely a good place to stay in Estremoz.
This was the second time we have stayed at the Pateo dos Solares having enjoyed it so much last summer. This time we stayed for a week and had an excellent superior room overlooking the swimming pool. Having not eaten in the restaurant on our previous stay this time we had dinner twice and on both occasions the food, wine and service was very good. The night we arrived we had booked the Valentines Day meal and the complementary sparkling wine and strawberries on arrival was a very nice touch. This is a very peaceful and relaxing hotel, Estremoz and the wider area is a an excellent holiday destination with plenty to do, be it winery tours, visiting historic towns or simply enjoying the beautiful Alentejo countryside. We will certainly be back again.
Simple furnished guest room, cozy common area, tasty breakfast, if that is all you like, then this is the hotel you are seeking for. Just one point is that WIFI is only available at common area and the signal is weak. Other than that everything is pleasant and enjoyable.
