Much needed Staycation on short notice.

Be it luck or good fortune, I found Odin's Cabin only 12 days before scheduling our stay. One of the best things was being allowed to bring our dogs with us thanks to the graciousness of the host and with the blessing of the owners. This was not something I took for granted and made sure to take care of this house as any good guest would. There was more than enough space with the 3 bedrooms that my teenagers were able to hole themselves away as only teens would when downtime was available. We took advantage of the cabin's location to Estes Lake and Lion Gulch trail to walk and hike to our heart's content. The winter weather gave us some bracing breezes but it was a minor tax to pay for being outdoors. Despite being right off Big Thompson Road, it was still a quiet and relaxing retreat. The Big Thompson River was accessible on the same side of the house just past the garage. The cabin was tidy, cozy and stocked with all the necessities. We had fun playing 2 of the games that were there: Pass the Puck and Shut the Box- both of which we had never encountered before but had a blast when challenging one another. (Teenagers can be brutal opponents by the way). This cabin was just right for my family and we hope it will be available for us again in the future.

Loved this property!

This was exactly as described! The house has so much room! The space outside with a gas fireplace was such a nice place to hang out at night with plenty of seating around it. The beds were all very comfortable and the place was very clean. It was less than 10 minutes from the town of Estes Park which was great. We would definitely stay here again!!

Highway

It was a very nice home, the pictures are a little deceiving, thought the river was on the property not across a very busy highway which made it hard to enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio because you couldn’t talk over the heavy traffic

Home away from hime

Enjoyed a Labor Day weekend with our adult children and their dogs. We were a bit concerned about the proximity of the road and the low fence with the dogs but it was ok. Very clean, comfortable & had everything we needed. We spent our days exploring Estes & grilling in the evenings. The road noise was a bit of a bummer but no different than enjoying an out door patio in town. Running a fan at night created the white noise needed to block the road noise. One suggestion / string lights in the aspen trees on the patio,. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would likely return.

Beautiful hide-a-way

Nestled into nature with the river right by. Love the hummingbirds. Main road pretty busy and noisy, consistently. Plenty of room inside to spread out. Game area and tv area. Outside deck area so relaxing.

The house was a great location We spent a lot of time in Estes Park, a quick drive from the house The drive to the house is about 25 min up into the mountain. I did not notice there was no air conditioner in the home, fans are supplied, it did get warm a few days but evenings are cooler up there,

Location on Big Thompson river near Estes

Overall property is nicely furnished, spacious and yard/patio is good. We were there to visit Rocy Mountain and Estes so location is favorable for that. I could fly fish the river and enjoyed that. It appears that the river is in the backyard but it is across the road and 34 traffic is busy. We did catch 3 mice under the kitchen sink which isn't a big deal to me but made my wife uncomfortable. Other than being right on the highway and the mice everything else was great.

Anniversary and Birthday Family Getaway

We rented this property to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my Mother-in-Law's 80th Birthday. The property was easy to locate tucked away in beautiful Drake, Colorado, and so close to Estes Park. We LOVED the coziness of the entire house, the amenities provided and the room available for each of us to spread out and have our own privacy. Our three dogs enjoyed the open space of the yard and large dog kennel provided inside the laundry room for them. The separate garage was a perfect addition to allowing my In-Laws to park their vehicle in, leaving plenty of room for us to park our large truck outside. The property owners were prompt to respond when we contacted them and we were very pleased with the custom service they provided. Overall, this property was PERFECT for our family retreat, meeting every need we had! We will be sure to rent again in the near future! THANK YOU for opening your home to others to enjoy!!

Odin House is Amazing

Our visit was fantastic from start to finish. The location is perfect for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. There was easy access to the river and a beautiful fenced in backyard with a grill and fire pit. It was furnished very nice and had lots of games and puzzles. The only negative we could find was the close proximity to the highway. We had our windows open for the cool night air but the traffic was nonstop. That being said, we will definitely book Odin’s House again!

Even better in person

The house is even nicer in person. It is located right on Hwy 34, but the fenced in yard made the space outside kid- and pet-friendly. A wonderful weekend away with family, highly recommended!
