Great location on the sea front and enjoyed the Eid celebrations in the town square next door. Has a beach area and a pool. Reception seemed totally incompetent throughout the stay. Hotel carpets upstairs all water stained in passageways. Some windows did not shut as missing catches so wind whistled up corridors. Rear views across building site. Joints between building also seemed to be separating. Leather on sofas in reception areas stank of tanneries. Had two rooms - both 3 star but spacious. Both missing elements such as bins, water, Had issues with things not working in the bathrooms in both. Each separately took 3 attempts to get fixed. Maintenance seems to be a big issue!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The fact that we had a free room upgrade to a junior suite helped but nonetheless the hotel has good facilities throughout. The breakfast choice is excellent and the omelette lady is fantastic (much better than the man) she also has a beautiful smile! Most if not all the staff were very friendly. Just be careful to check your bill. We had additional charges for the minibar which we hadn't used but which were removed when queried. Hoping to return next year - can't be a better recommendation.

First of all, it's a really nice hotel (of course it has to be as a 5 star hotel :D). We were kind of fed up with cheap accommodations for our trip and decided to book this hotel for the last night. And we were a bit disappointed, beeeecause: Wifi is only working when you sit in the lobby, otherwise not really- so if you have to work and need a good internet connection, don't book it ;-) Unless you are happy with an ongoing search for a spot in the hotel besides the lobby where you have like 5 seconds of connection ;) The hotel is not really in the condition it is supposed to be for its price, especially the gym... So my main points are the gym and the not working wifi, the rest is fine :)

When we visited Essaouira it was very windy the 4 days we were there to the extent it was not possible to sit on the beach due to sand being blown into your eyes, the hotel swimming pool saved the day and due to where it is located within the hotel the gusts of wind were mild. With three children eager to swim in the heat this was a must. Overall the hotel was clean, friendly, walking distance to old town along the beach front, lovely spa and close to some lovely cafes that serve good food at reasonable prices.

Let me start from stating that we have chosen this hotel although it was much more expensive than all other options. We wanted to have nice, hassle free stay in Morocco, that's why we thought it'a worth paying more. Now, let talk details. When you enter the hotel you find security gate (fairly important detail in those crazy times), which is actually switched off and no security is present... The room only theoretically has an air con as on top of making noise, it does not cool down. You have to open the window. You will quickly realise all rooms suffer from same problems as most windows are open, same at the corridor. The cleaning must be requested at the front desk, otherwise lazy made will skip your room (4 out of 5 days!!). I personally witnessed guest after checking in arriving to the dirty (after last guests) room!!! Also towels given (definitely washed) are with stains, what makes them fairly disgusting... The pool is not heated, so it's completely empty even though the temperature theoretically hit 42C. To access the beach you need to get out of the hotel and walk couple of minutes, what is maybe not a great problem, but you should wear something more appropriate than shorts or bikini. Overall, worst hotel I've ever been to, which dare to give themselves ANY stars...

We had a lovely stay in this large hotel, our room was spacious and clean with nice decor and comfortable bed. Good toiletries supplied and staff friendly. Couldn't get the lifts to work but staff were helpful. Be prepared for long walk to your room if it's at the end of the building. Breakfast delicious with homemade omelette, fruit salad, yoghurt, fresh bread, croissant, turkey sausages, ham, cheese, juice and mint tea. Internet really only good in lobby. Walking distance to medina and nice views of beach across the road. Would stay here again!

This is a typical neckermann-style hotel. Many rooms, scarce amenities. Food at buffet was over an hour before closing time, even though a bottle of water was 7 times the price of the neighbouring shops. Repetitive food, only cheapest fish for dinner /frozen Pangasius/. Rooms almost tidy, wifi only at reception and very weak at peak hours. Aircon never happened to work. Only one pool, not two as advertized, and with only 20 sunbeds for 130 rooms. Same for beach area, which was by the road, far from the sea. Had to negotiate beach towels every morning. The hotel has NOT any balconies, except the ground floor, where the "balcony" means the aisle towards the restaurant. If one insists, repeats and asks persistently, the staff at the reception could be bit helpful (french helps). Do never make half board or all inclusive reservations. Just go and have lunch and dinner at the neighbouring restaurants, where you can enjoy fresh food, nice views, for much better price. For the hotel staff and management: please do not comment my review with bla-bla-bla, using copy-paste phrases.

There was some confusion about our booking on arrival which turned out to be because the hotel hadn't returned any of our tour company's emails or phone calls. However once this was sorted out I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is well located on the promenade and only a 15 minute stroll away from the harbour and old town. Breakfast was buffet style, well stocked and good quality. The room was clean and comfortable but I was a long way away from reception. The staff were very friendly.

Upon arrival we were informed that our rooms weren't ready, (At 8pm at night!), After a short wait we were shown to our rooms, but we found out that the rooms which we had requested as adjoining, were in fact about 5 rooms away, after another visit to reception, we were given rooms next to each other, but not adjoining. 1 of which had no air conditioning! It was far to hot not to have air con at night. Although we were assured Maintenance would be sent up, no one arrived, so our first night was very unsettled and incredibly hot! However on Day 2 we were eventually given adjoining and upgraded rooms. But no apology was offered and the receptionist was less than approachable, didn't really want to know and actually walked away in the middle of when I was speaking to her! We had to wait around most of the day (Until 2pm) to get the new room, so did feel like a bit of a waste of our day! Once we got the new rooms, the adjoining doors were locked and took 3 separate requests before it got unlocked throughout the day. After this the holiday actually began. We had half board, reception gave us barely any information about the food options, and we had to ask other staff. The food in the main restaurant was great and the staff went more than out of their way to help arrange a special meal for me on most nights as I am vegetarian. Must have had a different training from the reception staff!!! Breakfast was also good, lots of options and fresh omelettes cooked to order. For every experience throughout the week of dealing with reception, it was painful, with one exception, as they did manage to book us a Hamman and massage. But possibly because we stood and waited. We asked them to book a table for us one night and a taxi for the return to the airport, but both of these failed to happen. Lastly we asked to extend 1 of the rooms on our last day which they agreed to until 3pm, only when we checked out of the first room, we were told we could only have the extension until 2. Contradicting again, with no apology and almost aggressive responses from the male receptionist. Very rude!! It took 45 minutes to get a taxi to the airport home after 3 more visits to reception and hassling them. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. But I would never class this as 5 star!!! The doors to the rooms were sometimes difficult to shut and our bathroom door was so loud we were unable to close it at night time!! Pool bar and pool staff very nice and friendly. Bar staff also very nice and helpful. However the same live music was in the bar every night who sang the same songs every night!!! Whilst they were good, they need some more variety! Lastly don't fall for the offer of free transfers on the hotel website, because according to reception they do not offer this and that website isn't theirs!!

When we arrived the staff couldn't find our booking, hastily arranged our room claimed to upgrade us to the room we already booked Facilities are lacking, no bathroom towels on arrival, no bathrobe, no tea making facilities and no water for a 5 star hotel. When we booked we made it clear that we have a 3 year old child and will require a crib, when we arrived no crib was available so went for a walk and went to eat. We came back am still no crib we rang again and it finally arrived at 10pm well past my sons bed time To make matters worse they gave us a room above a bar where music was being played rang the front desk who were useless Hotel is dated, see signs of no or little maintenance No a very good way to start the holiday
