Welcome to “Change in Altitudes”- your luxury mountain getaway! Nestled on a private 20-acre parcel sheltered from weather and neighbors, this lovely 3 bedroom/ 2.5-bathroom house is the ultimate basecamp for your southwest Montana and Yellowstone National Park adventures. Escape the crowds of tourists and retreat to this comfortable oasis with views of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and various Montana wildlife just outside of the floor to ceiling vaulted windows. Every room is thoughtfully equipped with a view!

The house is located 40 minutes north of Gardiner, the northern most entrance to Yellowstone Park and 75 minutes south of Bozeman, the closest airport. Centrally located in coveted Paradise Valley, it’s just enough off the beaten path to warrant accessibility and complete seclusion at the same time.

The ground floor has an oversized garage (locked with owner’s personal belongings) and a welcoming entry way with a bench and a set of stairs climbing to the main and top floors. The entry way has space for outdoor recreational gear.

The main level boasts panoramic mountain and valley views through the floor to vaulted ceiling windows. The kitchen, living room and dining area are thoughtfully arranged in an open concept space. The gas fireplace is perfect for settling in and enjoying the view, reading a book, watching TV or conversing with loved ones. Enjoy ample comfy living room seating and a fully stocked kitchen with an open gas range. The washer and dryer area buffer the main level powder bathroom. Step inside the spacious master king bedroom complete with an en suite master bathroom- highlights are the double custom vanity, free-standing soaking tub, and private entrance to the wrap around deck. The deck is accessible from the living room or the master bedroom and is adorned with ample adirondack chairs for enjoying the immediate nature and serenity of Montana.

Up one more set of stairs are two queen guest bedrooms, loft area with a twin bed and second full bathroom. Both queen bedrooms are cozy with mountain views. The twin bed in the open loft area can pose as a day bed or a perfect spot for the seventh small guest.

Whatever your reason for visiting Montana, we believe a change in altitudes is all it takes to truly unwind.

Amazing Family Getaway

We stayed for 7 days at Changes in Altitude and we will most definitely be back! I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness and also spaces appropriate to stay with younger kids in mind. Everything about this cabin hit all the marks— the views, the spacious rooms / bathrooms, the abundance of amenities (like towels! So hard to ration towels with young kids, but they had plenty!). It was incredibly clean and comfortable. We easily were able to explore Yellowstone, Chico Hot Springs, Livingston, Bozeman and even day tripped it up to the Sun River Canyon area around Augusta. The location in Paradise Valley was close to the Emigrant General Store, which surprisingly had a well stocked selection of grocery items. The cabin also had a ton of amenities on premises like detergent, soaps, spices, nice cookware and plenty of dishware. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend!
