Keystone Kottage West - Emerald Isle Paradise

Hermosos apartamentos de 4 habitaciones, 3 y 1/2 baños, medio dúplex sentados en la playa. No hay nada que hacer aquí, excepto relajarse y disfrutar de la brisa marina de cualquiera de nuestras 2 cubiertas. Acceso directo a la playa y al patio trasero completo como una ventaja adicional, pero excelente para juegos en el jardín y para mantener a los pequeños entretenidos cuando haya tenido suficiente tiempo de playa.

El piso superior tiene vistas increíbles desde la gran sala, la cocina abierta y la gran terraza. Mesa de comedor asientos 8 más 4 taburetes en la isla de la cocina. Además, el piso superior también tiene un dormitorio de matrimonio con TV inteligente y baño completo con combinación de bañera / ducha.

El nivel medio ofrece un dormitorio con cama grande, TV inteligente, sala de literas con camas de tamaño completo y baño compartido en el vestíbulo con plato de ducha. También en el nivel medio, el dormitorio principal tiene acceso directo a la terraza frente al océano. El maestro tiene 2 armarios y TV con cable. El baño principal incluye tocador doble, bañera con ducha separada. Lavadora y secadora de tamaño completo en el segundo nivel.

La habitación familiar del primer nivel ofrece espacio adicional con televisión por cable en caso de un día lluvioso o huéspedes adicionales con un sofá cama y medio baño. La ducha al aire libre, la mesa de picnic cubierta y el área de parrillas, y un amplio estacionamiento completan lo que esta casa tiene para ofrecer.

Wonderful Stay

Perfect beach getaway in spite of a little bad weather! House was clean with a great layout for our young family. Short walk through the backyard to the beach- extremely convenient bathroom in the basement when needing a quick pit stop. We will definitely be back!

Exceptional Place of Stay

The house was exceptional! It was clean, and roomy. The kitchen have everything that you would need. Loved the top floor balcony with the chairs that sits up high to view the beach and the ocean. Very short pathway to the beach. The food stores and etc is conveniently very close by. The Black Pearl Miniature Gulf is down the road on Reed Street. My husband and I had fun there. The employee that works there is very nice to talk to. A very big souvenir shop of Emerald Island merchandise is right next to the miniature golf place as well on Reed Street. My husband and I really liked staying at "Keystone Kottage".

Family Time

In short, the home is wonderful. Very easy access to the beach and short drive to the store for any needed supplies. Wonderful time and would highly recommend to visit.

Wonderful home on the beach for the extended family

We had a wonderful time at this beach house. Very convenient to the beach as we just walked through the backyard to a brief path and we were on the beach. Our part of the beach was pleasantly less crowded that many other parts. The house was spacious, clean and well stocked with supplies. The hosts were also very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely book again in the future if we needed a house this size on the beach of Emerald Isle.

Fantastic place

This rental helped make our vacation with friends magical. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. We had a beautiful view of the beach and a quick walk over the dunes to actually get there. The host, Sue, is great at communicating details and had us fully prepared for our stay. She had infinite patience for my many, many questions.

Very clean, plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids. Conveniently located. Private access to the beach with awesome ocean view. Outdoor shower was perfect after the beach. Can’t wait to stay here again.

A lovely property and stay but…

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this home for three nights in April. The house was wonderfully stocked with everything one could need from boardgames to kitchen, cooking supplies and lots of camp chairs, and beach toys. It is a perfect family getaway, and the below items do not change that! Yet, there are a few things that could have been better: The quality of the mattresses was low. Hand in hand with that, the sheets and towels provided, which are cleaned through an external laundry service, were very poor quality. Working in the hospital setting, these had the same harsh and over bleached feel of our hospital bedding and sheets. This also resulted in quite a mix of quality. Some of the towels were worn, so then we could almost see through them while others were sparkling white hotel, quality towels. These are not major dealbreaker, but when paying this much for a house, I have certain expectations. Lastly, the house is accessible through a digital keypad. Throughout the entire state, we had exceeding difficulty locking the front door. I did call the property manager, who walked me through the process again to no success. I did not pursue the issue further at the beach, but I think that this needs to be addressed.

Wonderful House

Keystone West was wonderful! Beautifully furnished and decorated. Very clean. Perfect location - near grocery stores, shopping, etc. Well-equipped and very organized kitchen. Plenty of hangers in closets. Lots of extra pillows and blankets. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful.

A Perfect Fit for Young Families

We've had two wonderful stays here, with the second visit confirming the exceptional quality of this rental property, especially for young families. The layout of the house, combined with its proximity to the beach, played a pivotal role in making our vacation incredibly worthwhile. Each day started with the excitement of our little ones (ages 2, 2, and 5) waking up and rushing to the beach. The convenience of being so close to the beach made our daily beach schedule effortless and enjoyable. The main living space (3rd floor) was undoubtedly the heart of our vacation experience. It boasted spectacular views of the beach, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for our family moments. The ample room allowed our children to move around freely, whether they were on the spacious deck, playing with bubbles and taking in the sea breeze, or cozied up in the living room, watching their favorite TV shows while prepping meals. Our extended family members were comfortably accommodated, including our nanny who had her own private space on the bottom level. Our late afternoons were well-spent, either at the local child-friendly aquarium or in the large backyard for various activities. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to add a bathtub on the 2nd level for kids' convenience, as the current shower setup necessitated using our master bath. This place holds a special spot in our hearts, and we hope to return and create more cherished memories here.

Another fantastic stay at Keystone West!

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Keystone West and it did not disappoint! Sue is such an amazing host and the house was even better this year with noticeable upgrades (new flooring throughout, updated bathrooms, etc..). We arrived as the cleaning crew was wrapping up and they were so gracious, asking us to approve each room for cleanliness before they left. Our group consisted of my husband, 7yo son and father-in-law. We truly enjoyed every aspect of the house, particularly the easy beach access. The beds were comfortable, kitchen fully stocked with every cooking utensil/dish/pan you could need. The living area was spacious and outdoor areas plentiful with a choice of upper and lower decks, as well as a first floor patio with picnic table. My favorite was the upper deck with large captain chairs overlooking the ocean! Between the house itself, super friendly neighbors and close proximity to groceries, shopping, restaurants and a cute water park, it was the perfect Emerald Isle vacation home. All in all we love this place and can’t wait to return in the future!!!

Fabulous vacation

We had a wonderful vacation and loved Keystone West. The house was beautiful and spacious enough for our 10 family members. The views were stunning. We loved having the yard for activities when we wanted a break from the beach. And the beach is just steps away! House is close to grocery stores, movie theater, restaurants and souvenir shops. Perfect location! We loved it!!

Perfect For Us

We loved the location, easy beach access, amenities, nice gas grill, living & dining areas, bedrooms and bathrooms! After other 'bare bones' properties in the past, this was a joy to see some paper products, kitchen & trash bags plus an array of spices. We used and left some of ours to pass it forward. Excellent communication from the Host and friendly next door neighbors. Our only regret was having to go back home... but with lots of great memories!

Best Vacation Ever

This beautiful home is sparkling clean and fresh smelling. The location is perfect. You can walk to the beach, multiple ice cream stores, 2 grocery stores and the best toy/ book store I’ve ever been to. The main living area has a lovely view so even if a storm is rolling in it is gorgeous. So many nice spots that millennials can set up their laptops and work remotely. The beach is not crowded and so close that you don’t have to pack a cooler as the house is steps away. We felt the linen service was fine with soft sheets and plenty of towels and there are many different bed pillows to choose from. The owner recommended a great place to rent a Shibumi and it was delivered and collected right at the house. There were several beach chairs , a baby pool, boogie board and many sand toys. There are stairs as mentioned in the property description so your party will need to be able to manage those. We all agreed it was our best vacation ever!

4th Stay

This is the 4th year in a row that I have spent a week with my family at this house for a week. The owner made a lot of great updates including new flooring and bathroom updates. It’s a great house in a great location directly over the bridge on Emerald Isle! Highly recommend for a family!

Clean beachfront but with a few bumps

The property was clean and usually quiet and the appliances worked. Although linens were provided there were no proper sheets for the pull out hide-a-bed on the first level. (A twin sheet was provided but it was a double or queen bed.) The bunk beds were also very problematic - the metal frames squeaked with even the slightest movement leaving the sleepers instead sleeping on the sofa! Note that no toilet paper, paper towels or even hand soap were included - have not seen this exclusion on other comparable properties. Also, bring coffee filters. There were some small basket paper filters in the kitchen but they were too small for the coffee maker. (Need 10-12 cup basket type.) Hostess was accommodating but not always reachable via VRBO. Finally, note that beach chairs were available to us but are not actually listed under amenities.

Perfect house

The house was spacious. There was plenty of seating in the living areas and dining space. Bedrooms were great, with plenty of space to unpack and settle in. The view of the ocean was wonderful. The location was convenient to shopping and restaurants. The owner was prompt with response to questions. Arrival and departure could not have been easier. Hope to visit again soon.
