The place was great! Loved the decor / not overly rustic, just right. Kitchen had plenty of variety in tableware and cookware for easy meal preparation. Loved sitting on the screened porch and watching/listening to the river. Very happy with it.

What a beautiful peaceful place to be

The cabin has everything you needed, the kids absolutely love it, it’s very clean, the river is very soothing. We absolutely love this place, and it’s very convenient to stores and very close to the main road, you don’t have to deal with a lot of curvy road getting in and out. We’d come back to this cabin again.
Had family over for s’mores on our last night there. We got to see the mama deer with her little one swimming in the river. So adorable!

Let me say this place is the best place we have stayed at in Ellijay. Very clean, easy to access the property & local towns.

Our kids absolutely loved playing in the river! Take a pair of knee high boots or waders. We were also pleasantly surprised that the kitchen had everything that we needed. Also found a pack n play and a portable high chair for those traveling with tiny ones! 10/10 recommend.

River House

Property is beautiful inside and out. Although the outside needs some upkeep and the yard needed to be mowed. The wild duck was a big hit with the grandbabies!!

Absolutely wonderful home and beautiful location.

Would recommend anyone to stay here. The location on the Ellijay River is perfect and the secluded location is prime for relaxation. The owners are obviously aware of what it takes for a family to enjoy themselves from the cleanliness of the home to the beautiful property. Would stay here again for sure.

We enjoyed the quiet and the river. Didn't like that the house smelled like mildew and the master shower had mold in it and it smelled. Didn't go upstairs.

Family post Christmas retreat

The house and property are beautiful and well kept. The owners ensured the entire house was equipted with more than you could ever need. My wife and I highly recommend the property for family and couples.

Fall Family Vacation

The house is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Very nice secluded property on the river. Ellijay, GA is minutes away with lovely small town country charm. The host was very responsive to any questions that we had. Wonderful vacation with family.

Awesome place to stay

This was a great house. It had everything we needed from hairdryers to crock pots. It has a beautiful view and you feel like you are away from everything while only being about 10 minutes to get to anything you need. We cannot wait to visit again.

Beautiful Property

The house was as pretty as advertised. The back porch was wonderful. The fire pit area was also fantastic! But the highlight is the stream that runs in the backyard, the calming rippling water was very soothing. Great place!!!!

Very relaxing

Had a great time in Ellijay and the cabin. Hanging out at the fire pit made my trip. With the weather being comfortable and the water was very relaxing. Tried my luck with fishing, glad there were restaurants in town serving fish. Overall had very good time looking to do it again.

From the moment we drove up and walked in.. we were surrounded by comfort, cleanliness and relaxation. The home has everything you need to sit back and relax! Loved it and will be brining our family back with us in the future

Relaxing-fun

The house was very beautiful and well stocked. They even had tubes for the kids to enjoy the river. We spent most of our time around the fire pit watching them play in the water. It is very convenient to restaurants and the Orchards of Ellijay were fun as well. We will definitely be back to this property.

Getaway weekend

Very relaxing with the creek right outside… easy to get to town if you need some items. Beautiful views…. large deck with a big table for eating or playing games…. Screened in porch. Made it nice to sit outside.. great fire pit just steps from the creek. … we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time!

The house is nice and in a good, quiet location. We had plenty of room for our family of 7. We enjoyed the river, hot tub, firepit, games, cooked on the grill, and the kids loved the zipline between the two houses. The only issue we had was the ac was not running correctly and the fridge did not make ice. It was not unbearable, but it was cooler outside most of our time there. It is very close to town and we had no issues finding. We really enjoyed our stay!

Annual Sisters Retreat

My sisters and I are best friends. We go out of town annually to spend a relaxing fun time together. This property was comfortable and very welcoming. It suited the four of us perfectly. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. The Ellijay River babbled feet away from the property line. Ellijay has great character restaurants and shopping. Mercier Orchards wasn’t far away. If you want yo relax and leave the bustle for a bit — Mountain River Retreat is for you.

The property was great. It's very secluded with only one neighbor next door. The layout of the house was good with kitchen, living room, and master bedroom on the same floor. The back porch was very nice with comfortable chairs and a great table for outdoor dining all of which overlooked the river. The firepit was used nightly and worked well. And yes, we enjoyed the company of the duck, who enjoys fresh pears and cucumbers. However, the place was covered in leaves. Fortunately there was a leaf blower in the garage which i was able to blow off the front porch and walkway and the back patio. Also multiple plates and some of the silverware were dirty with dried food on them. And last but not least, the towels smelled moldy, as if they were put away wet. Other than that we enjoyed the spacious master bedroom, comfortable king sized bed and the large shower. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic River House

We had a great experience with this property. We wanted to take a break from the city in the nature, next to a river, house with hot-tub and this house fulfilled our objectives. Is really close to town (5 min) with supermarkets, restaurants and stores. I tried to fish every day and only catch two trouts (I blame the fisherman). A really good surprise was the playground and swings for the kids at the back yard. Thanks for everything. See you soon!.

Family vacation

Cabin was very clean and easy to find. Very cold when we got to the cabin, 64 inside. Had to call. Told us we could raise the temperature and the trick is to turn on the fireplace to warm up the place. After we did that we were fine. Beds were really nice and comfortable. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The ice maker was not working. Used the fire pit and it was great. Location was close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.
