Absolutely Beautiful

This has to be the most comfortable stay we have ever enjoyed while renting a home. The location was excellent, the beds and linens were wonderful. We loved the porches and the lush surroundings. The home had everything we needed and more.

Great Location in Elkin, Beautiful Home

A wonderful home made for a great weekend in Elkin. The house was spacious, well-kept and beautiful. Loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying a glass of wine. Convenient to within walking distance to downtown.

Perfect Stay

We really enjoyed this home. We brought our two daughters and their husbands for the Elkin wine tour and booked this home because it was so close to everything and we could walk. Instead it rained all weekend but that didn’t stop us from the fun! The home had excellent covered spaces that we enjoyed. Both porches were well-designed and we used them both! I especially loved going out in the morning to the porch swing with my coffee! The inside was spacious and filled with treasures of a happy family’s life. Plenty of books, puzzles, and things to do. It was almost like a walk back in time but with modern conveniences. I think I could have stayed for months. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and was very spacious. We will definitely go back with friends and do another wine tour and hopefully walk the neighborhood and the town.

Girls’ retreat

Perfect home for our retreat to visit wineries and enjoy dining out..close proximity to everyone of our stops! This home has so much character and wonderful layout. Clean and so fresh! Beds were heavenly after long days!! Very quiet in a beautiful neighborhood.. can not wait to go back! Our hostess graciously reached out several times to make sure we had everything we needed. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Location!

Ideal location to enjoy the Elkin area. Walking distance to center of town. House is excellent for relaxing, cooking and enjoy time with friends. Super comfortable, clean and just nice.

Cozy home with personal touches

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful home with 2 other couples while we visited Yadkin Valley wineries for a long weekend. The house was perfect and spacious and we really enjoyed all the personal touches around the house that provided us a look into the owners' lives. Susan was wonderful to communicate with and easy to get ahold of. The Stewarts had many suggestions for our stay. We would definitely recommend this home for any future guests and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely Beautiful Place to Stay

In town on business and wanted a quite comfortable place to stay. This home offers so much more. The home is extremely well kept and large. Plenty of space for groups of all sizes. On-suite full bathroom facilities for each room offers both privacy and convenience. The plush resort style towels and beyond comfortable beds allows you to relax and wake refreshed. The pool table and piano are an extra bonus. The avid reader will appreciate plenty of book selections to choose from located in the dens mini library, kitchen and back hall. Be sure to grab a bottle of wine from one of the many nearby wineries before you snuggle into one of the oversize chairs with your book. A morning coffee and sit on the back veranda allows you to enjoy the sounds of the many birds and wild life. If you feel like taking a trip back in time, there are some fine wood rockers and swing on the old large wooden front porch. The sound of the old wooden floors in the older main part of the house, will bring a smile to your face and will ignite your imagination of the past souls that enjoyed the same space. Grocery stores, pharmacy and plenty of small shops to visit are within close proximity. Susan our host is very accommodating and available 24/7. She has many suggestions and recommendations of places to enjoy while you are in town. She makes you feel like family. This is definitely a repeat place to visit.

Thanksgiving 2021

Sweetest host for this lovely home. Spacious home to gather for Thanksgiving. Pool table piano and fireplace were nice additions. Cute little outdoor patio. Sound system throughout the house with xm was great too. Small TV but we were able to walk to downtown Elkin to watch the game at the Angry Troll. Quick car ride to wineries and also to the state park for some hiking. We would all recommend!

Winery and Framily Get-Away

This vacation was one of my favorites in a while. The house was clean, organized, and the owner was very accommodating and helpful prior, during and after our stay. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we will definitely look to come back in the future! Close proximity to wineries in the area, and also walking distance to local coffee shop, Saturday farmers market and angry troll brewing company.
