There was no mention that a passport was required to check in, the hotel would not let us check in without it. We had to take two cabs and spend most of our day going to Rota to get the local police to allow us to stay at the hotel. In essence I wasted an entire vacation day securing my hotel room.

The hotel is showing serious signs of aging. The lobby, furniture and room interior are definitely from a different era. The worst part is when this is reflected in the bathroom layout - it is small. The toilet for room 632 was placed right next to the wall, there is no way to sit on the toilet without contorting your body in such as way as to make for using the toilet a uncomfortable experience at best. The shower is plagued by the same challenge although it is not quite as bad. The breakfast was priced right, at 5.50 euros. Any more than that and it would not be worth the price. they served cooked eggs, a variety of bread, cheese, ham, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. While this hotel has some redeeming qualities, such as its close proximity to the beach, the hurricane - force winds, and rain, turned that into a negative. Luckily, I had just arrived from the from the West Coast that day and had such a jet - lag high, I did not care much for anything other than to sleep and eat, knwoing that I had to endure this hotel for only two nights, Overall, the 3-star level suits this hotel just right, however, I would have not stayed there had I not been so worn out from my trip.

Nobody was at the beach....it was a thursday. Also, the staff double charged me for the room and I still need to correct the situation.....beach was windy and sparse, but the pool was amazing.
