What a peaceful stay we had out at Baja69. Juve the owner is so gracious and welcoming, and our room was immaculately clean and that view <3!! It’s on the “quiet” side of the beach which was perfect for quiet peaceful walks with the pups, but within walking distance to the crowds and busy sections of the beach. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!
We only stayed one night as we were just passing through on our way to Cabo and needed a place for the night. The host was fantastic. The place has a great story and a real organic laid back vibe. The place is peaceful with a great view to enjoy with your morning coffee. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
Staying at this hotel was an amazing experience. It’s very low-key and quiet. You can fall asleep, listening to the ocean waves crashing. And it’s just a short walk down to the beach. The view off the balcony is amazing.
Juve the owner went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommend.
Terrific view from balcony, and from large windows in room. Delicious fresh egg breakfast ($12.50 extra). Super-helpful owner and staff. We locked outselves out of our car, and Juve (owner) made sure we got service to open the car, and even gave us the remaining 300 pesos to pay the mechanic. From the highway going north, you can easily miss the turnoff. You have to go past km67 marker, make a U-Turn where safe, and come back just past km67 marker to turn at the Baja69 sign.
This is an excellent place to stay if you like the unconventional and the desert and the ocean.
The owner, Juve, is a delightful person and cooks a great breakfast.
The walk to the beach nearby is pleasant, and the long beach is wonderful.
We liked the place so much we returned for another night.
The most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed at in all of my travels. This is partly due to the stunning rustic structure if Baja69 itself: all handmade, using sustainable materials such as adobe. From the balcony you can see all the way down to the iconic Hacienda Cerritos. It’s in large part due to the host Juve, however. There aren’t many people who can provide a home away from home, but Juve does just that with his kindness. Baja69 is tranquility embodied, at an excellent value. And the breakfasts are out of this world! Note that you will need a car to get around, but there are a number of reasonable options at SJD.
Truely an amazing lodge. Greeted with kindness and treated like one of the family. I was a little weary on arrival to the lodge because I had gotten stuck in the sand while surfing in el pescadero. The owner was comforting, patient and very helpful. He offered help in carrying my luggage, showed me where the hose was to rinse my feet and gave me a cool baja69 sticker at check out. The kind and compassionate lady took my photo for her website when I was leaving. Very cool atmosphere, convenient location, breath taking views and great value for the dollar. Extremely satisfied. Thanks again guys!

It’s very nice property. Simple and clean. You can walk to the beach. GPS took us to the wrong place. We elected to drive south and saw “Baja 69” sign on the side of the highway. Then turn right and go down a smooth dirt road about 200 yards. Plenty of free parking in back. Stop at the Agricole (Must See) before you arrive for groceries or a meal. Many thanks to lovely Alma who checked us in and escorted us to our room.
What an amazing place!!! Nestled between the highway and the beach but all you hear is waves. Those giant windows were the selling point for me but the owners, and the breakfast, and the small details, and the backstory all added to the charm and our comfort. It was only a short walk to the beach and you could see whales from your balcony. We loved it, would recommend it, and will come back again!!
The price point is amazing for the value you receive.
This was an incredible place to stay. Very clean and well set up. Able to open two gigantic windows allowing the breeze and the sound of the waves. Very comfortable bed, quiet and the views were amazing. A walk to a quiet beach with breathtaking sunsets. Am trying to figure out how we can be back in the area to stay again. The hosts were also very nice, even making us coffee in the morning. We travel a lot and it takes something special to wow us - this was it!!!
Great property with unique rooms. The grounds and rooms are clean and comfortable. Short walk to the beach, big windows. Short drive to amenities in Cerritos. Ask for a main floor room if you have any mobility issues.
