Disappointing Flexibility

don’t usually write reviews like this, but I feel compelled to share my experience in this case. We had booked a two-bedroom unit as we were traveling with another couple. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, I was unable to attend the trip and notified the property about the situation a week before check-in. While I understand the notice was short, these kinds of circumstances are often unavoidable.The other couple was still able to go, but we were disappointed to find there was no flexibility in moving them to a different room. I was told that nothing could be done. While I fully understand that a refund wasn’t possible for my portion, I felt that I should have been offered at least a credit for the costs of my portion of the stay. This would have allowed us the ability to use it for a future stay at a later time.As loyal customers who have frequently stayed at this property and love visiting Lake Eildon, this experience has left a bit of a sour note for us. Unfortunately, due to the lack of understanding and flexibility, we won’t be booking here again.
