Lovely family hotel. Nice suite with nice small but functional kitchen. Breakfast is good with enough variety. Room cleaning is very slow. Lovely outdoor areas for kids. Need to clean after the cats near the "sea" pool...
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel, we love the hotel, it has great outdoor areas, pools and garden etc. the rooms are functional, and perfect for families. They are dated, but you dont stay at this hotel for the latest luxury, its got all the amenities that a family needs it is perfect for kids. The room we were in had a terrible noise coming from the air-con and disturbed my wife all night, the customer service in trying to get it sorted was far from ideal, one has to convince them that there is an issue and then follow up every step of the way since nobody will update you on the issue. It did get sorted and I did come to a satisfactory arrangement, however my wife was most unimpressed with the service and the noise did ruin her holiday a lot. The last issue I would review is the food. The hotel is clearly not geared up dining wise to the amount of rooms on the campus. For the second year running we were moved to a cafe for the breakfast instead of the dining area. It is bedlem and not nearly as luxurious as the main dining area. The food selection is minimised and yet the cost is the same. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, but I would recommend that you eat elsewhere, many hotels very close by, have better prices for buffets and are more prepared for mass catering. The Royal Gardens wont even object to this as they are never prepared to do a deal on food, they cannot cope and are always full so they dont care if you eat elsewhere.
Everything about this hotel shouts "good management". Spotless and smooth running. when we called housekeeping with a problem someone showed up almost immediately. Five minutes later there was a follow-up call.
SUITE: We (3 persons) stayed for one week in a Standard Suite on the 1st floor. The suite had two big rooms, the first one with a king size bed and the second one with a surprisingly comfortable sleeping sofa and kitchen. The kitchen was equipped with 2 cooking plates, a fridge and electric water kettle. Even dish soap, a sponge and dishtowel were provided. The only thing missing, was a wine bottle opener ;-). There is a safe in the sleeping room. The room was cleaned daily including change of towels and cosmetic products. We had a huge balcony with access to the colorfully planted roof top and view on the pool area. Concerning our wing of the building, the rooms on higher floors had smaller balconies, but its different for the other wings where bigger family suites are located. I'm not sure if you will sea the red sea from any rooms. FACILITIES: The hotel has a very nice pool area with different pools and even a sandy beach and pool with sand floor. However the pool is open until 4pm only, which is a pity if you want to go for a swim after a day trip. On the groundfloor you find restaurants, shops , a supermarket (open until 10:45pm), playrooms for kids (Playstation, slot machines, etc.) and you can book trips with a tour manager. The hotel is very well suited for families, but it didn't feel too busy or noisy at all. HOTEL RESTAURANT: We cooked ourselves, but went to the hotel restaurant for one buffet style dinner (160 NIS pp. incl. water). The buffet was excellent with a huge variety for all courses (salad bar, soups, big choice of meat, lots of cakes,...). There is a shabbat dinner on Friday night. The breakfast buffet looked very good, but we didn't try due to our daily trips. STAFF: People at the reception are very helpful and friendly and the cleaning staff makes a great job and is always friendly, too. LOCATION: The beach promenade is right across the street. There you find bars, restaurants (most of them quite pricy), shopping malls and supermarkets. Most beaches in this area are public and quite clean. You can rent sunbeds, have drinks etc.. In the hotel description it was said, that we can use the beach of the sister hotel Royal Beach. We didn't find a private hotel beach anywhere, but we didn't bother much, so we also didn't ask specifically for that beach. Snorkeling on Northern Beach is nothing compared to the Southern Beach. In front of the hotel there is a bus station, from where you can take bus lines 16 and 15 to go to and arrive back from the Southern Beach within 15-20 minutes (4,20 NIS pp.). You can take these bus lines to go to all attractions and beaches on the way to Taba (border city Egypt), like the Underwater Observatorium, Dolphin Reef, Dekel Beach, Coral Beach, Princess Beach,...
We stayed in January and temperatures went down to 10 degrees in the night. The heating in the room was producing nothing but noise. In the middle of the night we realized we need to solve this issue, we and our children (2 and 7 years old) were practically shivering. We got to blankets. In the morning my brother, who was staying in the same hotel with his family, said they had the same problem and that they got an extra heater. We asked for one and were told that "We might not have any more heaters but we will see what can be done". Luckily there was a heater. Less lucky was the fact that the room was still freezing. The day after we asked for one more heater and the story repeated itself (we might not have etc.). We also learned a very interesting fact from a staff member in the reception: the managers of the hotel turn off the heating during weekdays when the hotel is not full. Only on weekends the heating is turned on. The reason? Saving money. Never mind the guests on weekdays paid good money and are entitled to minimal conditions. Absolutely scandalous. Our complains were not listened to, and when I later mailed the management I didn't get any answer. I will not voluntarily be a guest of any Isrotel hotel again. I recommend you to avoid them too.
Friendly service, very good kosher breakfast, free wifi. We stayed in a family room with space for six people. The apartment has three televisions and a kitchenette with dishwasher and other standart kitchen utensils. We had master bedroom with en-suite. The apartment also has two single beds (2x 90 cm × 190 cm) plus the sofa gets a bed for two. The larger bathroom incl. a bathtub and hydromassage shower and a smaller bathroom with hydromassage shower.
This hotel has every potential to be a 5*. It fails miserably on maintenance and attention to details. I had to make my kids bed when we got there because that's their policy, if you want kids in the room - you make their bed. the room lacked a few things, which once mentioned were fixed. Would be better if the room was kept to standard. The window did not lock, so they sent maintenance, he took out the lock and did not return. If you get a good price - sure it's good especially with kids, but if you like to feel like you are in a quality hotel - go somewhere else
We enjoyed another fabulous vacation with the family in The Royal Gardens in Eilat. The grounds are just so gorgeous, it automatically feels like 'vacation'. Anyone who has kids knows that if the kids are having fun, then your vacation is an amazing success. Once again, our kids had such a great time at the pool, in the room, on the beautiful grounds and at breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel has the best location, close to the beach and shopping centers. The rooms and public areas are very clean and well maintained. There are several dinning options: restaurants, dinning room and self cooking in the rooms. The suites are quipped with small kitchen and very comfort beds. The staff is very friendly and provide very good service. There are several pools, the special one is with sea send and is very nice!!!
A great hotel, full of fun vibes, the artificial beach and the pool and slides are a lot of fun, the rooms are very good for a family. Dining was great both i breakfast and dinner. We will come again !
