Royal Beach Eilat5.0 out of 5.0

Although the hotel was, not unsurprisingly fairly empty in early March it still stands out amongst all the others as the best. We only used the outside lounge area but were served with the service level of a five star hotel anywhere. We had French Toast which was for once, savoury rather than sweet, a refreshing change.
The Royal beach is still a great hotel in Eilat. We stayed in an updated room which was very comfortable. The rest of the hotel is pleasant and clean. Service was fine. Time for an update on the styling though - like removing the dusty mannequin acrobats hanging from the lobby ceiling -pretty odd for an upgrade hotel. Food was plentiful and well presented, enjoyed our relaxing stay.
We stayed at the Royal Beach to celebrate a special birthday, the hotel was much better than previous stays. The renervated Royal rooms are beautiful and would recommend, although the storage could be a bit of a problem if you have loads of clothes, bathroom was bright and large, with a excellent large built in shower. Breakfast at the vista room was better than ever before, with large selection and food being fresh and filled up regular, even the pickiest of eaters would struggle here to find something that they liked. The grounds and swimming pool area was really pleasant. The only downside and that's only a small complaint found the reception staff too be very unhelpful and having an attitude that they would rather be anywhere else than at work, and never made you feel welcome. Staff in the house keeping and resturants were excellent. Special thanks to Sagalit and Sarit for making the birthday that bit special and all they did pre to my arrival. As for the renervation work, don't let this put you off there was very small noise during our stay. I would recommend and would consider staying there again next time we are in Eilat.
I am a Hotel Professional in Israel for the past 30 Years In Israel. I always wanted to try the Royal Beach Hotel In Eilat. In the beginning i was a little bit skeptical, some of the reviews scared me. But being in Guest Relations, i have encountered guests,, that want to milk the hotel for reductions, and Extras. The Isrotel chain, in my opinion, is the best in Israel. We drove 4 hours from Jerusalem, arrived at the Hotel, was greeted by security, and was told we can unload our bags and park at the neighboring Isrotel Hotel. We did that,,, and was pleased to be greeted by a smile and proper way hotel personnel spoke with us. We checked in , glass of champagne to welcome us to the Hotel. Michel, i believe is the assistant front office manager, took excellent care of us, he also took my initial reservation, which i booked through the online site( 5% discount onsite booking). He wished us Mazel Tov, on our anniversary. And we were on our way to our room, 14 floor, big and spacious, beautiful balcony,,, lovely bathroom. No noise. I smiled and knew we came to the right place. We went out for a bite to eat on the promenade. Made reservations for dinner, The Chef and his culinary staff,,, were excellent, Huge Buffet,,, anybody who says the food is so so,,, is pardon me,,,"Is Nuts) Was excellent,, from any level,,, the desserts were also excellent. In General the staff is helpful, ' They will go out of their way to help. We also booked a couple massage,,, which was heaven,, We are looking forward to our Fri night dinner... and tomorrow back home... The Hotel is great,,, so is the staff and location,,,, you will not find better in Eilat. So never rely on past bad reviews,,,go for it.... We will be back,,, but will stay for longer!!!
We stayed in the Royal Beach for 3 nights from Monday 13th - Thursday 16th February. As is natural and necessary with all first class hotels, the Royal Beach is in the middle of a large refurbishment programme to modernise the rooms. This obviously causes considerable disruption during the day and can be heard clearly throughout all floors of the hotel. However, the level of service and hospitality is exceptional as always in this coast line oasis. Throughout the hotel, the dining room, room service, poolside and reception staff go out of their way to be helpful, accommodate requests and uphold the excellent reputation of the hotel. The pool area is magnificent, the best in Eilat and the Hemingway VIP lounge is an excellent facility. The rooms were cleaned very well. A special mention is due to Sigalit and Sima in customer relations who are both a pleasure to deal with. The quality and selection of the breakfast was superb and the Isrotel Ranch House affixed to the hotel is exquisite. We very much look forward to our next visit to the hotel.
I have been to Eilat several times ,but this was our first time at the Royal Beach. The Hotel is situated in the best central part of the promenade. Each room has a view of the sea. The rooms are specious with balcony. The public grounds of the hotel are tremendous , with pools in all shapes and sizes for every age. The lobby and bar are specious and elegant. The breakfast is served indoors or out .The variety is great and very tasty. The private beach has water sports of all types for everyone who loves the sea.Evening entertainment right across from the hotel. The WOW is a must for eveyone ,it is really world standard. In other words they dint call it Royal for nothing. It really makes you feel like royalty. Without any doubt we will go there again and again.
We are currently staying at the Royal Beach. Staff on concierge desk (especially Michal) and restaurant staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient. We are staying in a beautiful recently renovated New Royal Room and our spacious balcony overlooks the pool and the gorgeous mountains in the background. This room enables to have the most succulent breakfast each day in the Bubbes restaurant. There are several gorgeous lounges in which to relax. There are lots of restaurants nearby so no lack of choice. There is reference in other reviews to construction work and associated noise. There has been a modest amount of noise today but it is barely noticeable and I do wonder if other guests have used this as an excuse to try and extract reductions from the hotel. Overall, our first visit here but definitely not our last. A top class hotel and staff.
We had a wonderful 3-night vacation with friends. The service and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The presentation was pleasing, and the service of the waiters and staff was excellent. We were very pleased with our stay, and will be happy to go back again!
When we were checked into our room (a Royal Beach room) we discovered that there was ongoing noise in the room from construction in the hotel. When we contacted guest services they offered additional food and spa amenities but would not transfer us to an equivalent room with no noise problem. The noise of the construction continued until 8:30 pm and began the next day at 7:30 am, waking us up. Needless to say, this made our experience quite disappointing. At checkout, I discussed the matter with the manager requesting a refund of 50% of our cost for the room. She stated that she was unable to issue a refund as the booking was done through a travel agent. I spoke to our travel agent who advised us that there would be no problem if the refund would be issued through them. The manager took my phone number and advised that she would be in contact with me to see what could be done. I have not heard back from her. Frankly, it is quite surprising that a luxury hotel of the Royal Beach caliber would place guests in a room adjacent to noisy construction in the first place. Certainly, once the matter was brought to the attention of the management, we should have been transferred to an upgraded room. Failing this, there should have been a complete refund of the cost of our stay. Instead, we were offered free coffee, and were not given the courtesy of a return phone call. I am a frequent traveler with considerable experience of first class hotels. The Royal Beach level of service thus far has not met my expectation of what a five star experience ought to be.
The hotel is nice yet the service was the worst I ever had They could not prepare a lunch box They brought breakfast late for a tour that I had early in the morning They apologized and promised complimentary food that never arrived They left the breakfast dishes in the room after 8 pm after I protested I called the manger, he wouldn't take my call and after I showed up at the front desk he didn't dare to attend me A total waste I stayed two nights to go to Petra but I strongly recommend that if your choice is Royal hotel fly in the morning and leave late at night A total disaster
