The staff was wonderful, especially Patricia at the front desk! We had a situation where one of our group hurt her leg just before we arrived at the hotel. With no fuss, they moved us to a handicapped room to accommodate my friends needs. Rooms are clean and quite roomy and the food was great! I'm happy to recommend them.
We used Nova Like for one night at the start of a wilderness study trip. We were delighted and plan to use the hotel again. The staff, particularly at the desk were very helpful and after two flights and a long bus journey our group were simply delighted to get early admission to their rooms. Central location in the town and everything just a short walk away. Having used other hotels in Eilat we plan to return here.
We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. But because of our circumstances we needed to change to a different room. The lady at the front desk, Patricia was so very understanding and accommodating. In fact during our four day stay, Patricia was always there to help in one way or another. Truly Patricia was amazing and such a pleasure. A great asset she is. The breakfast every day was delicious and quite a large selection.
Lobby was nice, staff friendly - but rooms mediocre. First room had awful smell to it, found rotten milk in pitcher in cupboard! The staff was apologetic and immediately moved us. However, in the second room - still some small issues - i.e., many outlets didn't work; room needs updating, especially the bathroom! We were given wrong information about breakfast but they made it up by giving us very nice boxed breakfasts to go! Just know it isn't in the same "class" as other Atlas hotels in Israel.
The hotel itself is ok. The room was a suite, with a living area and small kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The breakfast was well-stocked with mainly Israeli food (no meat with dairy), which was absolutely fine. We stayed over New Years, and there were lots of families with children (so it was rather noisy in the lobby and at breakfast). The desk staff is hit-or-miss; we had some very helpful people and some very unhelpful people. They were never rude, but the overnight desk person was very "green" and didn't know much. The hotel is fairly high up the hill that overlooks the city. It's not terribly far from everything, but the hill makes it seem like it is. If you stay here (which I do recommend) make sure you have your walking shoes and some muscular legs to get around.
I had only 1 night in this hotel, because of business trip. For holiday I cant recommend it - too far from beach and center. Pool area is small and nothing to do there. Hotel is basic and simple. Rooms are nice, apartment style, with nice colors. Breakfast was good.
Located in the northern parts of the town you will definately get a chance of meeting locals by just strolling around in the neighborhood! OK! Staff in the local "supermarket" will not recognize even Your perfect English but this is part of the fun according to us! A " Shalom" and a "Toda" will make everybody smiling! Eilat is a small town so you can stroll down to the beach in 5-10 minutes.
This hotel is a well built hotel with all the facilities needed for a business trip as well as a family trip. There is a swimming pool, a great dining room, a nice lobby. The rooms are very big, clean and comfortable. The location is close to stores, airport and the city center.
Stayed 2 nights for work purposes. My room was spacious, decently clean, but definitely worn out, a bit depressing, and in need of a renovation. There was a fridge and a hot kettle, but no cups, dishes, coffee, tea bags, etc. So if you are on holiday, bring all of your dishes, cups, and hot drink supplies. The pool looked very nice but it was closed after 5 pm each day, so get rid of any fantasy you have of floating in a pool on a beautiful desert night. You can sit next to it, but not in it. I left too early for breakfast each day but the Hotel Staff arranged breakfast boxes to-go for myself and colleagues, a very generous box of food. It was about a 15 minute walk past the airport to the closest Red Sea beach park, promenade, restaurants, etc. My feeling is, fine stay for work or a quick overnight. But for a holiday... maybe not, until the entire place is fully renovated. It is owned by a major group of Boutique hotels (Atlas) but this one does not seem up to Atlas par at all. Hopefully it is in transition to become a better place.
The Nova Like is a very comfortable property. My room for a single had a separate bedroom, sitting room, and kitchenette. The buffet is excellent, both for breakfast and dinner. Eilat looks to be an interesting resort town worth several days stay. For our tour we used it as a base to reach Petra.
