We booked via Booking.com five rooms for 4 pax each and requested to pre-charge the card account since we could not carry that card with us(travel agency card). Booking.com confirmed that they discussed with the hotel that could do that but would not guarantee this. We also contacted the hotel directly via their Email address but receivex no reply. When we arrived there we stayed in the lobby for one hour until our guide managed to figure things out with the manager and receptionist. It was so hard to make them understand the situatiation which seemd rather stupid. In the end we had to pay cash and they made xerox copy of the US Dollars because they thought we were giving them fake money.
Poor empathy at reception. I didn't like thw way that the receptionist talked to us, treated us. It took us(group of 18 persons) an hour to make the check in. They were very rigid and not friendly at all.
Checking into this hotel was a hole lot of a mess. Too many issues with everything, from the part with "paying with a credit card works" until the part with "you have to pay cash now, and we don't give back change". Otherwise, the place is great, the rooms are perfect, and the location is amazing :)
We booked a studio room with a balcony on the second floor of the B wing. When we arrived at the hotel we got what we wanted and when we entered the room we received an overheated room so we turned on the air conditioner. After a while we realized that the air conditioner was not working. To our surprise the receptionist said that the entire hotel has no air conditioning but only ventilation in the hotel because they changed the a/c system to winter mode . We told her that because of the great heat and the weather that is around 30 degrees we can not stay in this room. She turned to the manager Eli who told us to wait and he would take care of the matter. After 40 minutes of waiting, we called again to and were told to our surprise that Eli had left. We did not believe it so we went to the reception and they looked for Eli who was not there. Another manager, Roi Feller was there and Instead of dealing with the problem he was sarcastic and unpleasant and unprofessional. He was downright nasty. For example, he said "what is your problem exactly? That the room is hot or that you have not been properly treated."? Fortunately, the manager Eli came back (Who apparently went out to eat) and solved our problem and was very nice and understood the problem, He gave us another room that was good and had shade and a free meal. This made our stay in the hotel pleasant even though there was no air conditioner. My point in case being that the room with no air condition in the hot weather was minor in comparison to Roi Feller's nasty attitude. All in all, a small clean and good hotel with an excellent location that provides a budget vacation
We lived in this hotel during trip organised by the travel agency. I understood that we can't expect nice and fancy hotel for the price they offer already before travelling to Eilat. I can accept outworn look of the room and old furniture but not the dirtiness. This was dirtiest hotel in my experience. Even after complaints in reception nothing changed, housekeeping was working their own way. I had a feeling that we have to buy our own cleaning tools or have to bring them from home. Dirty floors, damaged furniture, layer of dust everywhere, terrible bathroom and bathtub, water in sink was not going away, dirty sheets with stains and somebody's hairs, dusty airconditioning vents, terrible smell in fridge - this is what we can say about this hotel. We changed 3 rooms in less than 12 hours, more or less the same situation in all of them. Hotel manager was not the most helpful and willing to help, after third attempt to get clean room we gave up. We tried to spent time as less as we can in this hotel for rest of the stay. We can recommend to choose another hotel.
I was concerned reading previous reviews, but once having spoken to Management, Eli & Duty Manager, they went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable & pleasant as possible. Any complaint/request was speedily rectified. As the S.A. rate of exchange is so poor this was definitely good value!
This hotel is in a very bad need of a repair. Everything is dated, shabby or broken. To top it off, when we checked in into our room, the room was not properly cleaned, there was sand on the bed sheets and sticky spots on the table and dust. It was cleaned reasonably quickly, but that is not something you want to deal with after you check in after a long day of travel and want to relax. Fortunately, we stayed here only one night. Would not recommend this hotel till improvements are made
This is more of a condo style property than a hotel so perhaps that has some impact on our experience. The front desk was adequate, but not particularly helpful. Their luggage storage on the day we checked out was an unlocked room right next to the front desk. No one seemed to be making sure that the people who went in and out were authorized so it did not feel terribly secure. The room was clean and had a nice sized balcony even though it overlooked the parking area. No hair dryer in the room. Decent enough place, but not outstanding.
Rooms are dirty Sheets were dirty Bathroom was dirty No terrace but mentionned in the offer The light doesn't come in the room (really dark). Kitchen equipment is very old. You can look for another place to stay.
The hotel is bed only , no meals but nice rooms renovated. The set is is good , Eli from the reception is taking care of us every time. There is a nice pool and a small shop where u can buy fruits , food or sweets. In the room there is kitchen, a fridge , so u can cook if u like. Recommended
