I booked three rooms 7 months before my arrival through the DAN hotel web site. My reservations were confirmed by email and all was good. When I arrived at the hotel nobody told us that there was a problem, they asked us to fill all the documents, asked for a credit card without telling us nothing. It is when all was signed and paid that the manager told us that the hotel was overbooked and they had no rooms for us! How this is possible as I booked 7 month in advance ?? They proposed us to go to another hotel where they have agreements and to apologize, they “upgraded” us! The other hotel looked cheaper than the Dan and was facing the airport, the hotel was small and not really nice at all but it’s true that we were “upgraded” and had a bigger room (big deal!). This is unprofessional and not correct at all and looks more as a fraud to overbook and after they send people without any other choice to another hotel (the proof is why before paying they don’t ask us what we want to do?)… I wrote to the hotel and as compensation they proposed to upgrade me next time that I come to Eilat, the joke ! they really think that if I come back to Eilat I will rebook with them ! If you want to be sure to have a room in a hotel that you choose, you should not book with this hotel as it is really not sure that you will have the hotel/room that you booked!
Overall, hotel is nice enough. But for the $$$ of rooms, management needs to work out some kinks: -- the pool closes at 7pm, gym closes at 8pm. For a luxury class, hot-climate resort where many guests are gone all day on excursions, the early closing hours are disappointing. -- tart, impatient front desk agent Anat, set a caustic tone for our visit. -- access card to Dan Hotel beach does not include Dan lobby. A security guard named Yonatan barked at us when we tried to enter the Dan for a salon appointment, snapping "I don't give a damn!" and turning as away, as if we were hobos rather than paying guests.
everything was excellent in the hotel: the service, the food, the atmosphere, the pesach meal (seder pesach) & the location. excellent hotel! we stayed there in the end of march 2018. we sure recommend it to others! liat & omer
the hotel and the services are great. the food is excellent . the hotel miss a coffee shop or an al-a-cart restaurant. no direct access to the sea. in holiday season too much of a noise. the entertainment program is o.k especially for kids.
Not exactly beachfront but a short walk to the Marina promenade and the beach. The hotel maintains a beach location and has a nice pool onsite with a lot of kids, at least when we were there. Decor needs updating but everything was clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Marina and promenade was fun with lots of restaurants, activities a and restaurants.
Overall, we were really happy with the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice. It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The hotel is pretty close to the airport, but the sound did not bother us. My one complaint was the gym - we had to pay 30 ILS extra to use it, but the treadmills were not in working condition
We stayed at Dan Panorama hotel for three days and enjoyed it a lot. The hotel is large and spacious and although there was a large group we did not feel crowded. As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted with a light drink and a light meal served by the hotel staff. The staff was very kind, especially the receptionists who answered every question, and always with a smile. The room was clean and tidy and we put it really well. From the balcony of the room we could see the marina. The breakfast and dinner were full with a great selection and it was hard to decide what to eat (everything looked delicious). The hotel pool is nice but it was a bit difficult to swim in. In preparation for Shabbat, the staff prepared in the lobby tables with soft drinks, wine and refreshments for "Shabbat Shalom" blessing, and this was the first time we encountered this in a hotel in Israel. Well done for the initiative. The hotel is a short walk from the promenade and easy to reach from anywhere. There is no doubt that the next time we arrive in Eilat we will be chosen to stay at this hotel.
I recently stayed at the Dan Panorama Eilat in October 2017 for two nights. The hotel was booked through Hotwire.com as a 4+ Star hotel. There was underground parking located in the road level area of the hotel. The check in process for the hotel was very smooth and efficient. Staff spoke excellent english to accommodate us. The hotel room was clean but a bit dated on the decor. It appeared the hotel was currently undergoing renovations. We had a canal and patio view located on the north side area of the hotel. The hotel is less then a kilometre away on the east side area of the Eilat Airport. Planes could be heard taking off throughout the day. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant buffet area which was included in our hotel booking. There was plenty of food options to enjoy for breakfast. For the price, central location and proximity to the downtown core of Eilat I would recommend this hotel for your next stay.
The hotel has a very good location, it is very close to the sea and the promenade. Staff is very nice and extremely attentive to guests' needs. The rooms are clean and the facilities, including the swimming pool, are very good too. The breakfast is the best I've ever had in a 4* hotel. I would definitely recomend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and high standard hotel in Eilat. I will certainly choose this hotel on my next visit to Israel.
The view from the room was amazing 6th floor. The dining room is really clean and the food is delicious, the room service is fast and we had every thing we needed in the room , the proximity to the beach is great everything is so close
