Not Crowne Plaza standards at all. Reception staff the most miserable we have ever come across anywhere. On entering the room the smell hit us, no idea what it was but just old, musty and stale. The bed looked like it had been just made, well pillows thrown on and landed wherever. No bottles of water in the room, even budget hotels give you water. The place needs closing down and rebuilding. We needed to use the business centre as my husband had important documents that needed printing, I checked online that this was available which is stated on website that it is. No it wasn't, only a fax machine. Lovely views from the balcony but that was the only good point. The bed was comfortable but the pillows, dear me, full of lumps. We where going to stay an extra night if all was good, quite the opposite, we were up and checked out by 7.30. Couldn't wait to leave, again greeted at check out by a very miserable receptionist. Avoid at all costs.
Heavily worn out rooms, fixtures, and furniture. The hotel is in sore need for a major renovation. Walls in rooms are stained and dirty. Bathroom fixtures are all chipped and some just fall off walls. Furniture is in terrible condition with burn marks all over.
The rooms are with mold, peeling bathtub, stained carpet. The food is good, the young lifeguard was very nice, he organized swim goggles for me. The view from the rooms are very nice. Even the shower at the spa spays in all directions except at your back.
our room was very noiey. all the day you can hear door slams from the corridor and other noises from above. the food was ok. we had breakfast and supper. the hotel is no close to the promenade and the beach. you have to walk a lot every day. the shower has cold and hot water. temperature is not stable
This hotel condition is very poor. Everything is so old and there is a bad smell from the carpets. The room was clean but how can you see the clean when there are scrapings in the bath tub and the baby's playpen is a total discussed. A/C is very low and not enough to cool the room and food is not more than OK. Overall, I cannot recommend.
All rooms are facing the marina and the sea, the location is very central, everything you need is just a short walking distance. The breakfast selection is impressive with all the local speciality. Once you accept you are in a land where people eat according to the Jewish traditions it will not bother you very much that the meat is missing from the breakfast buffet. Helpful staff, clean room and balcony for each and every room.
Hotel is very dated and rooms seem to not have been refurbished in 20 years. Got an 'upgrade' on check-in, which was welcome until I arrived in my room and see a dirty, stained, cigarette burnt old carpet. Service isn't very good, although basic courteousness is there. Wifi / internet speed seems more like a dial-up, and the elevators are both tempermental and one of them jumps at the 2nd floor and stops, before descending and opening the door at the first - every time. Gym costs ILS 40 to use. Breakfast selection was good, except in order to get coffee you have to queue for 10 minutes.
We found a deal where we paid around $100 as a couple for 2 nights with breakfast and at that price the hotel was great value and I cannot complain about anything. Some pointers are that this is an old hotel that is waiting to be refurbished, however it was clean and everything in the room worked. Extra points to the hotel for a great view from the room and great water pressure in the shower and good shower heads, a detail that so many place overlook. On the down side were a few small annoying things, there is a kettle with tea, coffee, sugar, cups etc in the room however no teaspoon or stirrer is provided which is just an annoying oversight. The dining room for breakfast has great food but the quality of the staff is a let down. I would prefer a coffee machine and pre made eggs than to wait in line 20 minutes for an omlette (this was more due to Israeli manners and impatience than the chef being slow) and a further ten for a coffee. If they are going to employ a barista then it must be a professional who works fast.
Our family rented 4 rooms for 2 nights. We enjoyed the vacation very much. I'd like to thank the hotel's sous chef, Miss Natalie, who was very kind, and helped us get a huge variety of vegan food like we asked. The food was delicious, and we can't thank her enough for being so cool and open to meet our needs. Thank you | TODA | Sharon and Roy Bachar
