Pacific Lagoon Apartments

We really enjoyed our stay at Pacific Lagoon apartments, Chris and the team were fantastic and we loved the independence of having our own place as opposed to just a room. Erakor island is just across the lagoon and great for food, cocktails or just a day out.

Our family including two children (12 & 7) spent just over a week at the Pacific Lagoon Apartments and couldn't be happier with our choice. This isn't a fancy resort with all the trappings, and as mentioned elsewhere here, the apartments are simple but more then adequate for a family stay. If you prefer to be self sufficient and get a real taste of Port Vila and Efate, then this is for you. The pool was always clean, with surrounding outdoor seating including a super comfy day bed and BBQ always inviting us to sit and relax. The biggest thumbs up however must go to manager Chris who met us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. It was always a highlight to catch up with him and his young daughter each evening to chat about our day and get some invaluable advice about the best way to see the sights. Nothing was too much trouble, including arranging a day tour of the island with local driver Bruce, which was a highlight of our trip. Its this personal service that we really appreciate when on holiday and not something you will easily receive from the big resorts, Thanks Chris. We cant recommend Pacific Lagoon Apartments highly enough, and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

My friends and I stayed here for a week and we couldn't be happier. Chris the property manager is a lovely guy and will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Pool is perfect and always spotless. Day beds and bbq area are clean and comfy. Rooms are nothing flash, but comfy and well equipped. Only room for improvement would be the Wifi availability with it dropping out occasionally but this is consistent with many places in Port Vila. Apartments open out onto a lagoon that you can kayak across with all equipment, including reef shoes provided. Would definitely stay here again, we loved it!

Our family of four stayed here for a week and had a great time. The sea breeze was awesome and the view over the lagoon great. The staff were relaxed, friendly and super helpful with local knowledge. The facilities were all very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 7 days with our extended family. We were happy being able to cook and share meals in the open area around the pool. The kids made the most of the pool. Our lagoon view was a great thing to wake up to each morning and the kids liked being able to explore when the tide was out. Location is great as handy to ferry to island resort and just walk up the drive to get a local bus / van into town or to the supermarket. Supermarket No 2 is the best option for your food and supplies. Hosts very helpful and make us feel very welcome.

We were a large family group ranging in ages from 1 year up to 65+ and we all had a wonderful time at Pacific Lagoon Apartments. Sure, the units aren't as fancy as some of the other resorts but they had everything we needed and the outlook onto the lagoon more than made up for anything they were lacking. We made use of the BBQ area every day and the trip to the supermarket wasn't far either (150 VT for an adult and 50 VT for a child each way). And don't worry about transport, as soon as you start walking up the driveway there will be a bus waiting for you! Chris, the manager, was friendly and full of helpful information.

We spent three nights at the Pacific Lagoon Apartments. It is a great place to stay! Clean, spacious, quiet and the aircon worked well too. The only thing to complain about is the wifi, which was terribly slow.

Pacific Lagoon Apartments was an excellent choice for our two week stay in beautiful Vanuatu. The location is good, less than 10 minutes using a local bus for 1.50 Vatu to central Port Vila. The apartments have a peaceful waterfront situation facing Erakor Island - a delightful resort to visit by a short boat ride for a breakfast treat. Lovely clean accommodation and serviced daily offers spaciousness and holiday comforts along with security and good friendly management. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We recently returned from a holiday staying 10 nights at Pacific Lagoon Apartments with our family of 5. Right from the moment we arrived it was instant relaxation - the manager Chris is so welcoming and made sure we wanted for nothing during our entire stay. The rooms were clean and tidy - we had our 3 young children (aged 6, 5 and 4) sleeping in one room on 3 single beds. It was a tight squeeze but we spent such little time in our room that it was really only for sleeping. The gardens and grassy play areas were ideal for playing soccer, hide and seek, and just generally expending the energy of 3 very active boys. The atmosphere of the whole resort was very laid back and friendly - it was easy to make loads of new friends with the communal spaces and natural meeting places. We spent countless hours on the large daybeds playing UNO or just falling asleep in the sun with the gentle breeze. We never made it to the end of the driveway before a bus would stop, reverse down the drive way, and take us into town. $1.50 for an adult and $1 for a child made it a very affordable and convenient way to get around. The resort is located approximately 5 minutes bus ride from the centre of Port Vila shopping district. There isn't a restaurant on site, however there are kitchenettes in the rooms which include oven, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery etc. There are also BBQ areas which is what we used most of the time. We usually went to the supermarket in town and bought bread to make toast in the mornings for breakfast. At low tide you can walk around the shorline to the Warwick Hotel, and from there catch a ferry across to Erakor Island. Reef shoes are required though for walking along the beach area. The Manager Chris and his staff were simply amazing. Our rooms were serviced daily (except Sunday). Anthea was alwats available to assist with all tour bookings and enquiries. We had a bus driver (Bruce) who was brilliant. He was very reasonably priced, professional, always on time, and suggested places which would be great to take our children. He helped us with our children at places such as Mele Cascades to ensure we all reached the waterfall safely. He made bookings for us for dinners and took us to brilliant restaurants that we might not have found ourselves (such as the Wahoo Bar). Extremely safe, friendly, courteous and trustworthy driver. If you want to really immerse yourself in Vanuatu culture, I highly recommend staying at Pacific Lagoon Apartments. It does not have the little bubble of being a 5 star resort where you are spoilt and don't get out and see anything. Rather, it encourages you to explore your surroundings, visit the markets and buy fresh produce, experience the local restaurants, and enjoy the cultural offerings. For a well priced, well located, family friendly stay, I highly recommend Pacific Lagoon Apartments and I'm sure we'll be back to stay there again!.

The apartments are a bit outside of town, but we liked that since Port Vila is not very attractive. The place was not very easy to find, though, the sign is not very big and hard to read in the dark. But the apartments are spacious and nice inside. We didn’t cook anything, there were lots of pots and pans, but no plates or glasses. But you can probably get them when you ask for it. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful with directions. There is a tiny swimming pool and you can use canoes to explore the lagoon behind the apartments. There is also a nice resort not far away – Breaka - where you can have a delicious dinner. You do need a car here, though.
