We booked a stay based on prior experience with this motel as a great place to stay while snowmobiling, since is offered a great value with fine rooms and a nice restaurant. We were disappointed to find that the restaurant has been closed which makes it difficult when snowmobiling as you have to get all of your heavy clothing on to go out for dinner. The rooms were fine and the help showed us how to order out our meals. We would opt not to stay there again.
Very cold rooms and there is not a restaurant like advertised I booked a king room the pics showed hot tub when arrived was told they were under renovation the room I had was same as there cheapest room only difference it had a king bed so in short I paid 30 dollars a night extra for a king bed instead of queen we arrived hungry looking to eat only to find out we half to go somewhere else I was not pleased the lady at desk was polite but that’s was the only great thing will never return
Stayed there for only a night during a road trip. Enough space for parking. Rooms with two doors-one to the hallway one outside to the parking lot. Quiet heater and clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast included. Was sufficient.
Good rooms and pretty good service. A great place to go with a large group of friends. The Continental breakfast was disappointing with hardly any fruit, for some reason. Had to try and scrounge fruit from the little place in the hotel that sells an amazing quinoi salad with veggies.
This place has a small pond size lake with about a hundred ducks swimming around. Woke up early the next morning and there wasn't one in sight. Went for a nice walk around the pond and then in for a great breakfast. On leaving about an hour later, noticed the pond full of ducks again...not sure where they disappeared to during the night. Nice hotel and great quiet location.
On our second last night of our business trip, my Husband and I stay at the Quality Inn, Grand Falls. A very nice setting, with a pond and ducks outlining the parking lot. The hotel itself looks grand, and the lobby area is modern and exceptional. We climbed the stairs to our room, and entered a really old unrenovated room. There was a double bed and 2 single beds. In my opinion, too cluttered. The bathroom was clean, but very 'tired', needs repair badly. The second floor rooms have a small balcony. That needed cleaning badly. It was home to spiders and their webs!! Breakfast was simple too. Don't expect a large variety. A comfortable quick stay. Recommend if nothing else available
As the title of my review indicates, this isn't a great hotel. "Près du Lac" is very misleading, it's near a man made pond. Everything about the motel is outdated including the very sad looking breakfast spread.
Great cabin that allows dogs. Fridge, TV, deck and a great view of the duck pond!! Queen size bed was comfortable. Great spot to stay near Grand Falls. Nice little road going from the hotel to the cabins gives additional privacy while being close to the hotel. Also get to cross the worlds shortest covered bridge.
We stayed in a cabin by the pond with young children. Very nice to sit on the porch and have a few drinks while the kids fed the ducks in the pond. This isn't the Hilton, so don't come here expecting fine dining and white linens. Everything was clean and comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. The breakfast was nice and the service from everyone was excellent.
While there are updates to the lobby and resturant the room (cabin) we were given for the night was awful. We must have been the first people to stay in it for months. The carpets, mattress, and broadlooms need replacing heck never mind it needs to be completely renovated. Oh and the continental breakfast was less than desirable. We will not stay there again.
