Our ball hockey team stayed here for Western Championships in Sherwood Park and we found this hotel to be an excellent value. The staff went the extra mile to be friendly and accommodating to everything we asked for. We booked a room for the first two nights for only three of us. However, we were joined on nights 3 and 4 by one more family member so we asked about a cot. Without hesitation, the front desk staff switched us to a room with more space and brought in a cot -- they made sure the new room was available before we had to be out of our old room and on the same floor so that moving was easy and fast. Rooms were exceptionally clean, beds were comfy and many pillow options were provided so our nights were restful. Breakfast was included, was fresh and hot and there were a variety of options. We were very pleased with this hotel and will be staying here again. Thank you and great job!

We had an emergency where we needed to book accommodation from New Zealand. The reservation team were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure my wife stay went smoothly. They provided an quick response to our requests even printing out a revised itinerary for my wife and making sure she got it. Cannot speak more highly of this experience. The only downside was the need to travel away from the hotel for an evening meal.

My wife and I stayed in Holiday Inn Express last week. We got an exceptional service in the hotel. Front desk lady was super friendly. Check in was quick but very efficient. We stayed in a room with jacuzzi tub and king bed. The room was the best room we ever stayed in a hotel. Super clean and extra spotless.Big and spacious. Love the size of wash room and like the kitchen area with bar chairs. Plenty of towels and amenities in the wash room. Hotel is very quiet and sleeping comfort is excellent. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Complementary breakfast is one of the best. We love the dining are. Neat and spacious. I will give five star rating for the breakfast. Breakfast lady was very friendly. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and we like the big parking spot. no tight but plenty of stalls to park. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Sherwood Park area. Worth the money spend indeed. DANI KURIAN.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sherwood Park is our home away from home. Every time my partner and I go out of town, this is our comfy place in Sherwood/Edmonton area. The people in this hotel never fail to surprise us. We experienced to be upgraded in a room with jacuzzi and we love the unique soft and firm pillows in the room. We did have a great sleep and enjoy the superb continental breakfast. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express Sherwood Park, until our next visit.

I booked my room at this hotel a ew weeks in advance, and in my reservation requested a 'quiet upper floor room, far from elevators and ice machine'. Instead I was given a ground floor room immediately adjacent to the hotel's party room! After I received my room key, I noticed I was right BESIDE the hotel's party room. On this night it was set up with several tables, with many bottles of booze on them, and also alarmingly, huge speakers. I did not see a liquor licence posted at the room. Well the party and noise started around 8 pm, so I went to the front desk to complain. A manager came to see me by my room and told me this was a staff party, and that the party would go on!! He offered to move me (we had just unpacked after a long day of travel and activities), but told me there were no rooms of my type available. He showed me an inferior room on the 2nd floor, which I took since I wanted to be away from the party room and the noise and felt I had no choice. In any case, we went to bed in the new room, but could hear noise coming through the floor since they put me in the room DIRECTLY ABOVE the party room!! I hadn't realized this when I was moved since I was not familiar with the layout of the hotel, or I would not have accepted the move to this room. In any case, we couldn't sleep, so I called down to the front desk and asked when they had quiet hours at the hotel. She responded that quiet hours were from 10 pm on. It was after 10 pm, so I told them that if they did not shut the music and noise off, I would call the police!! Magically after that the noise stopped, and we were able to get some sleep. There were no other issues during my stay. No one, however, came to follow-up, to apologize or to see how we were after that. It was only the lady at the checkout who was sympathetic and said she'd let the manager know about this. Even with that, the hotel manager has not bothered to check with me in the 3 days since I've left. So, if you stay at this hotel, know the following: - any request you make at time of booking is likely to be ignored. - the management allows staff to break their own rules for their own parties. - they have no common sense as to how to accommodate guests when they have their staff parties - for staff parties apparently, the show (or in this case the party) must go on. - they may or may not get liquor licences for their parties. - there is no consideration or common sense for guests who want to rest at a quiet hotel.

Been through this hotel a few times now, great place! Quiet and the staff are great to deal with! Front desk is helpful. Hotel is located close to main highways thru the area but far enough back from them to get a good sleep!

Staff were helpful and courtesy. Had a small issue with the heat, the front desk staff didnt hesitate to assist immediately and called a short time later to make sure everything was working properly..

So I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times. And everytime I've had the best experience ever. The staff is friendly. Super clean rooms. Delicious hot breakfast. I've always seen Josh at the front desk and you should to. He's absolutely amazing and really friendly. They will take care of your needs. Thank you so much Josh for incredible customer service

My wife and I go to the Edmonton area a few times a year from Fort McMurray and we always stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Portage Ln in Sherwood Park. Our stay this time was once again a great one. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room. We are always treated well by Janice and her staff. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Edmonton area.

My husband and I are massive fans of the HIE chain and stay with them whenever we can because we know what we will get. It is a clean hotel with a good breakfast and solid service - usually. The issue here is that this time, when we needed their help it was not to be. We are Gold members, staunch supporters and fiercely loyal - which apparently makes no difference. These guys put a massive pre-auth on my credit card which ate all my available credit. Not good since we are still travelling for the next week. We use my card to secure rooms then pay cash/debit. Here's the rub. I called MasterCard to ensure the pre-auth was released. It wasn't. Mastercard told me to contact the hotel and have them either release the pre-auth or call them to give permission to release the funds. If the hotel called they could release the funds held right away. I called and spoke to the front desk person who told me I had to call MC. I explained I had and needed their help as MC told me they needed to hear from the business. Eventually he passed me to his General Manager who told me that she was sorry but "it's out of their hands". She was not willing to call MC. All we needed was one 3 min phone call to help out loyal customers and she couldn't even do that. She could though be sarcastic, which came through the phone clearly, matching my tone by the end of the call. Thank you HIE Sherwood Park for not taking 3 min of your day to make one phone call and help two customers. At least I know where not to stay next time I'm in Edmonton.
