HUGE scam if you book with a pet on Expedia as the hotel charges you ANOTHER $50 pet fee upon arrival. The first front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The one later that night was judgemental and rude.

My hotel room keys didn’t work on at least three occasions, the air smelled like beer (next to a labatt beer factory), you get complementary ear plugs because of the train going by at all hours. If you like curry there’s an amazing Indian restaurant. Everything was dirty, outdated, and scuffed. Front desk service was not great but maintenance was very helpful. Bathtub faucet was so old and grimy could barely turn it from hot to cold.

It was alright

We ended up booking here while being in town for a camp for our kids as it was close to the location. The good? Restaurants are good. Staff is awesome. Comfy beds. TVs are big. Convenient location to everything. They gave us late check out. The not so good? You can hear road noise all night off the freeway. They do provide earplugs and a sleep kit but be forewarned. The hotel is dated. The carpet could use replacing in the rooms. The elevators especially at the one end have an awful odour. The one day they were doing maintenance and the entire hotel stunk of rotten eggs. The train behind the hotel shakes the floor when it goes by. I’m no diva but for the price, I think we would find somewhere else to stay next time, as I’m not so sure the pro’s outweigh the cons.

It was convenient, right off the highway, located close to restaurants, grocery store and shopping. There are two restaurants right on site, so if you don't want to venture far, you don't have to. Staff were pleasant. We stayed 2 nights and the only downside was that our room didn't get cleaned the second day, which may be a new norm for hotels but after going out and coming back and finding the room still didn't have fresh towels and the bed was not made, I asked the front desk and we got clean towels and more cups left in the room but the bed was not made and they did not restock the coffee and tea. Perhaps my expectations were a little higher than the standard.
