Stayed 3 nights over Christmas weekend. The bed was very comfortable. It afforded a good nights sleep. The staff we encountered were very pleasant. A nice touch on Christmas morning a present left outside our door. The pool and whirlpool were soothing and relaxing. We ordered room service 2 nights and had great meals from pouting to Marriott and Bison burgers. Would stay again. At checkout we mentioned that on two of the nights there was lot of traffic in the hallway and doors opening and closing. We got 40$ off the bill. Nice gesture.
I have stayed at this Marriott before. My husband and I had stopped staying here because of the parking situation for larger vehicles. Security was making larger vehicles park farther back behind Resort. It didn’t feel like there was much traffic there and we weren’t comfortable. At this this visit though we were in a regular vehicle and parking was fine. Checkin went smoothly and I was given the city facing room that I requested on the 6th floor. The rooms are a little dated now but everything was clean. Around 3am were we’re awakened by a female guest next door to us yelling at someone. This carried on so I called the front desk and reported it. Within 15 minutes security had dealt with the situation and it was quiet. Everything else was lovely. The hotel has a Starbucks and the lobby is st up for sitting with family and friends.
A very nice hotel for an overnight getaway. Our room was immaculate and the hotel accommodated our request for an early checkin. Front office and housekeeping staff were helpful and pleasant as were all staff members we encountered. We recommend and would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The staff here is wonderful. The amenities are clean and nice. Gold members have complementary access to lounge, but you can also pay to upgrade - the food at breakfast and in the evening is better than I expected! Truly feel like a VIP! My only issues have been with housekeeping; They have a "your choice" program, which means you can skip a day or two of housekeeping in exchange for Marriott points - but they always make you skip 3 nights even though that's not how the program is supposed to work!
While the room was comfortable, we were provided with no housekeeping services on 2 of the 4 days of our stay in spite of being out of our room for 6 to 7 hours each afternoon. Had to call down for basics (toilet tissue) twice. Then mystery charges appeared on credit card in spite of having prepaid the room and the full account settled on final morning of our stay. Be wary if you stay.
Loved it, comfortable, clean and well placed. 10 minute drive to the West Ed Mall with free shuttle every 1/2 hour from early morning to late at night. FREE Hotel Parking! Was nicely greeted as a platinum elite member, they have a M Lounge which was actually ok and wine prices were reasonable also the breakfast was decent and the breakfast hostess was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the room worked and was clean. Elevators were fast and efficient. Room service trays promptly picked up. Work out room well maintained and second floor swimming pool with lots of light. The attached casino does leak cigarette smoke into the lobby and this could be a deterrent to some. My only real downside was no room upgrade and the smoke smell in the lobby and internet was spotty at times. I would still stay here again.
The hotel ha been there for 10 years. The restaurants inside, The Kitchen, Sage and Tap 25 are great! Great food and great atmosphere and very reasonable priced. Food is excellent at both restaurants. Tap 25 is more like a sports bar, so bar food it is expected, overall, a great place to be is you enjoy eating. The venues at the facilities are next to none. Many artists have played, performed and sang there. Check it out.
We stayed at the River Cree Resort (casino and hotel) so we could attend a youth gymnastics awards banquet. Very nice banquet facility (room for approximately 500 for the event), better than average served dinner and very good service by staff (bringing our meals, provided coffee/tea/juices and clearing tables). Staying at the hotel hosting the awards banquet was a good choice. Well lit paved parking lot. Excellent entrance area and pleasant staff at the check-in counter. Standard rooms are smaller, in our opinion, compared with room size at other equivalent hotels. Very comfortable mattresses and pillows. Top grade linens and bathroom items (shampoos, conditioners and lotions). Room service is provided. Keep in mind, at this hotel, there is only one restaurant for families with under aged kids...other eating options are a short drive from the hotel. A casino is connected to the hotel...several eating options for adults are within the casino area. The resort is on the outskirts of Edmonton (actually in Enoch). Ideal for those attending the casino, but a distance from bigger shopping centres and most tourist activities/attractions. More suitable for couple than families. We are not 'casino' goers, ergo this is not a hotel we would return to. But, if you wish a hotel with excellent banquet facilities, live entertainment and a casino, this could be your hotel of choice.
We've been wanting to stay at this hotel for a while now, and were able to just recently. We really liked the bright, cheery decor, and staff were so friendly. But there were a few misses. Having requested a king bed weeks ahead, we had to settle for a double queen bedded room. Oddly, there were no towel racks in the bathroom, and the room lighting was a bit on the glaring side with the bright white light bulbs - just too bright for us. On the plus, there was a fridge, but it was small and just plopped down beside the cabinet - something you'd expect at budget hotel not here. We were on the concierge floor and enjoyed the nice display and tasty food presentation for breakfast and evening Hors d'oeuvres. A note on parking: if you arrive late, you'll likely be parking at the far end of a very large outdoor lot because it is a casino hotel that does shows. In the morning, it will be empty except a few hotel guest cars way out there...
The rooms were neat the amenities were great and the show was a blast. It was a nice place to be for the last night of the short tour we were on. Everyone at the hotel was excellent. It was also very nice that the hotel and the casino were rolled into one or at least it felt that way.
