Such a beautiful and well-run lux hotel. Staff were excellent and the nature of the student population training here helped bring a level of fresh energy to the experience.
This is a very cute hotel in an historic building . Lovely room with a turret, fabulous restaurant in beautiful surrounds on the grounds of university halls of residence. Walkable to superb views from Arthur’s Seat and the city centre but away from tourist hordes. Highly recommend
I had hoped to get a place to put our clothes from both big bags as it was the first place we stayed longer than 1 night. But there were no drawers. Also no refrigerator for Hubbys medication. Also- the rooms were too modern for my taste. I booked based on the pics which looked much more period. The room decor was not a look back like I thought they would be.
The Scott is a beautiful property, and the staff is incredible! Everyone we talked to was friendly, knowledgable, and willing to do whatever they could to help. We stayed here one night to end our trip in Scotland on a high note, and it did not disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, and they were able to substitute gluten free toast for some of their dishes when we asked. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Edinburgh!
Historic yet charming property, right across from a bus station. It is walkable to Old Town. Convenient with plenty of food options around the neighborhood.
I love the hotel but we stayed in a room situated below ground with limited lights which felt really humid and dark even though we were supposed to have a VIP experience.
The hotel ground had many trees and surrounded by green vegetation. The place had the air of tranquility. My stay was peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed the old-world charm. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff members were all very thoughtful and helpful. It definitely augmented my experience of being in Edinburgh. Thank you.
Lovely hotel on University of Edinburgh - Pollock Halls campus - so was great for our trip to drop our son off for his first year and stay over. Polite and friendly staff, beautiful hotel, comfy room and delicious breakfast.
Amazing hotel! Like staying in a castle and short Uber or Taxi drive to Royal Mile & Edinburgh Castle. Very nice inside and really added to the experience of Scotland.
Room was lovely with a king size (American size) bed. Reception staff were helpful and offered suggestions for transportation and places to visit. I would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was well maintained, very clean, quite with good quality curtains for a good nights sleep. Lovely on sight restaurant and bar. Complimentary tea and coffee selection with delicious shortbread. Bottled water and fruit always available. Could not fault it.
Breakfast was included and was fabulous. The service was top notch. The dinner options were less appealing, but we went next door to their sister property and had a good dinner.
The staff was so helpful and kind. Close to Arthur’s Seat but a bit of a walk to the castle and old town. We were able to take advantage of the workout gym which was a half mile away. It was lovely but you need your own towel and lock of you want to use the locker room. Hotel was on the campus of the university of Edinburgh. Limited parking but we were able to find a spot. Hotel was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. No lift, have to use the stairs. Highly recommend this hotel
