The friendliest staff who made me feel at home the second I walked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find I’d been kindly upgraded free of charge into a beautiful, clean room with the most gorgeous view overlooking the city. A comfortable night’s sleep followed by a delicious breakfast! Thank you so much to all the staff at The Place.

Room was very good very. Lean ideal location. One issue hot water went off or ran out about 17:30 hrs. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good.

This was probably the smallest double room I've ever stayed in. However, it was clean & functional. There was only room for one bedside cabinet and with the ceiling slanted it was a challenging & careful shuffle to get into bed. Both the check-in & check-out were smooth & straightforward with both receptionists demonstrating high levels of professionalism.

This hotel is excellent. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is in a great location and is spotlessly clean and serves a fab breakfast. We stayed in a suite which had 2 large beds and a big ensuite with large shower and freestanding bath, it felt very luxurious and we both slept very well. I would definitely stay here again

The Place is conveniently located near the train station. The staff are warm, welcoming and had plenty of ideas for things to do and see. We received a complimentary room upgrade upon check in which was lovely. The room and bathroom was very spacious with high ceilings, large windows and it had a mystery theme. The bathroom also features a large soaker tub and double shower heads. It was also quiet. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the best located hotels in Edinburgh you are generally within 20 mins walk to everything. Perfect location. Very much appreciated the free late check out and upgrade to the grand and spacious room. A very clean large room, bathroom and well equipped , which enhanced our stay and was a nice surprise.
