Understaffed
Are bathroom flooded from water from an up stairs shower yuk!!!! Instead of moving us they used our towels to soak up the mess and left 1 new one and said I hope it stops!!! Breakfast was terrible,, out of everything and pretty dirty serving spoons
The rooms were spacious and clean. We were able to save a little money by cooking on the provided charcoal grill. Their is a grocery store a mile away that is nice and convenient for the things you may have forgotten or need. Also in the parking lot of the store was a self serve ice machine. What I was disappointed in was the fact I noted that I wanted a tub in our room so i could relax and I inded up getting a room with a stand up shower. The nice thing about the shower was it was very large. I would stay here again if we are ever this way again.

Not bad at all. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good as well.
First room was dirty, mold growing on curtains, hair in sink, and unclean. Second room supposedly upgraded,,, again mold on drapes, windows filthy, sister was complaining of being bit in bed. Back door to hotel was kept propped open with a rock due to the fact the key-cards don't work in it, very unsafe. Hotel has a 100 percent satisfaction or your money back guarantee that they will not honor. I would have expected more.
The hotel was clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast offered many choices, both continental and traditional. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located very close to the historic part of Edenton, our destination for exploring the town and its history.

... if the hotel made a real walkway to get over to the new Wendy's across the way instead of making guests walk in the street or have to drive their car 50ft just to get across safely. ... if I could've gottten Tmobile cell phone service while down there (I did appreciate being able to have free internet service tho) ...if the beds were more comfortable and heat/AC unit had more settings than "muggy/stale" and "cold" ... if the hotel didn't charge me again for the same hotel stay! I booked thru Orbitz.com and when I checked in the front desk rep asked for credit card for ID purposes and said I would not be charged anything (unless I ordered a movie or something). Well lo and behold there's another charge on my card and I'm still waiting for my credit card company to complete the dispute! We stayed here for family reunion gatherings many times, and while it has improved greatly, the simple fact that they charged me again when they said they wouldn't means they still need work.
This Hampton Hotel in Edenton was fantastic. The service was great, and the breakfast was unbelievable. Our housekeeper was so courteous and friendly. My sister and I were really impressed. We look forward to coming back again
Location of hotel is perfect. My wife and i were in town to attend a family reunion. Room contains a dehumidifier, which helps immensly. would have been nice to have a fridge and or microwave in the room (i guess i should have requested a room with them). it would also help to have wifi within the room.
Great hotel! Clean, nice staff and great breakfast bar. Even though I didnt take advantage of the "breakfast bag" I thought it was very thoughtful.

Nice hotel. Each room having a dehumidifier was a hint, yes the hotel is close enough to the coast that humidity is a problem. Keeping the Dehumidifier running all night kept things comfortable, but it was a little noisy.
