This cabin is like a tardis - bigger on the inside :) It's small but somehow the space was perfectly filled with everything we could possibly need. The living area feels large and open, with a great view of the lake. The kitchen had an abundance of dishes, utensils and small kitchen appliances, all in great condition - even the pots and pans (which is not a given in a vacation home). Only thing missing was a dishwasher, but we made it a family affair to clean dishes after each meal and it actually was fun and a good learning experince for our kids ;) The living and dining area were cozy and inviting, and surprisingly spacious. Downstairs also has 2 bedrooms, which are small, but beds are big and comfortable and one bathroom with shower and again everything you could possibly need, including hair dryer, shampoo, first aid kit and more. There are small, VERY STEEP steps to the upstairs, which hold another 4-5 beds. The upstairs has a low ceiling, so it's not possible to stand upright, but we only spent time up there to sleep, so it was not a big deal. There is an AC unit and plenty of fans to help keep the cabin cool on the warmer days. The best part is the outdoors though - it was lovely to sit on the dock in the early morning and enjoy a cup of coffee. Right outside the living area is the patio with plenty of space to sit or lie down or enjoy the hamock seats. We had all meals out on the patio. There is a BBQ and some outdoor games (ladder toss) and of course the fire pit (with plenty of firewood provided).
Billie is an excellent host as well, starting with being availble for questions before our trip, to a wonderful welcome at the cabin. I mentioned to her that we came to celebrate my sons graduation and birthday - when we opened the door we were greated by balloons and cookies. It was such a nice surprise and started our stay on a perfect note. She also made sure kayaks were there before we arrived (we visited early summer) and checked in during our stay to make sure we were happy.
We spend our time playing games (also provided), kayaking and fishing, reading and just enjoying some quality family times. One day we drove up to Paradise and explored the beauty of Mt. Rainier NP. Overall I can only recommend the Bear Cabin. We had a lovely time and hope to be back.
