Découvrez ce grand logement lumineux situé au 2è étage de ce qui était un atelier de menuiserie au début du siècle dernier et qui est aujourd'hui le logement d'un artiste peintre dont les toiles originales font partie du décors. À 2 minutes de marche vous trouverez; épicerie, pub, café artistique et sympathique, pâtisserie, etc. De plus, la nature est toute proche, juste en face débute un sentier qui longe le lac d’Argent (accès publique au lac) et se prolonge dans la piste cyclable La Montagnarde (ski de fond l'hivers), qui se rends au mont Orford, Magog. Parfait pour les cyclistes, les amateurs de marche en nature, les skieurs, ou juste pour une retraite artistique paisible dans ce beau petit village des cantons de l'est. Une petite cuisinette tout équipée vous permet de faire vos repas (four micro-onde, petit four/grille pain, plaque chauffante à induction, cafetière expresso)... L'appartement est grand, il y'a bcp de pièces, il peut facilement recevoir jusqu'à 7 personnes (3 couples et une personne seule).

Wonderful stay at L’Atelier du Peintre. Daniel, our host, was incredibly accommodating and responsive. The accommodations are lovely, well equipped, and remarkably unique with a gallery featuring beautiful paintings and one can’t help but feel inspired by the artistic expression throughout the entire building. The location was excellent - a quick walk to cafe, grocery, restaurants, and central for driving to nearby attractions. (We were staying in the winter for skiing at Owls Head, Orford, Bromont, and Sutton.) Highly recommend.

Great retreat in Eastern Townships

Excellent, spacious, bright and well-stocked two-floor home for our writing retreat. Daniel was a wonderful, highly-responsive host. Location in Eastman is quite good, just a short walk to amazing La Station Cafe, McMurray Pub, grocery store, boulangerie for fresh bread and treats, and a couple of other fresh/frozen food boutiques a convenience store. The lake is also a short walk away on a well-groomed multi-kilometre path decorated by local artists' work. We would highly recommend Daniel's place.

The first floor is the artist's studio and the spacious apartment is above. It was special to see where works of art are produced, and some of the art. We liked the apartment's combination of character and mod cons like nice showers and lots of electric outlets. We prepared a few meals in,and enjoyed restaurants in the area for others. The owner communicated well. We hope to return.
