everyone kept on surprising us with great service pleasant staff and unexpected great food-- room was fantastic spacious and quiet for a good rest and able to work well Thank you - will see you again.

I have been here before but it is just a short stay, this time is longer and well worth staying in a boutique hotel like this instead of a large hotel. This is pure elegance, class, quiet and incredible attention to detail. Enormous rooms with everything you need. Everything looks new or just incredibly well kept. Stunning breakfast! Friendly staff who want to go out of their way to help, amazing place.

I am so happy that we found No5! Was especially impressed with staff service. And of course, the outstanding art collection in the hotel is unparalleled and very inspiring. We will definitely be back!

This was a one night stop before flying out at the end of a Garden Route trip. We spent only 15 hours or so in the hotel and would have therefore been happy with much less in the way of facilities for our pleasure.. Nevertheless, we could not fail to enjoy the experience. The room was enormous - much bigger than many of the shacks we saw whole families living in on our travels - and very well appointed. Dinner in the restaurant was chosen from an interesting menu and the waiting staff were able to explain some of the terms we had not encountered before. We find it irritating when wine is placed out of reach in an ice bucket, but understand that that is how the staff had been trained, though in that case we would have appreciated a more attentive replenishment. Staff in general were attentive and courteous and check in and out were conducted without troubles or delay.

Friendly staff, gorgeous art and quirky design make this a super stop over hotel. Own little terrace and garden. Food very good and excellent position. Recommend visiting The Voting Line Sculpture in Donkin Reserve.

This is the very best option in PE. The boutique hotel is indeed special, staff are great, the rooms are massive , with wonderful finishes . We arranged a dinner in the cellar which turned out to be fantastic . The set menu with wine pairings was indeed most enjoyable. We will be back .

We stayed here for 1 night after flying into Port Elizabeth and were really impressed by No 5. The location was great for us - a short drive from the airport, a short walk to the beach at Summerstrand and another short drive to Cape Recife where we had a bit of a walk to freshen up after a long flight. The property sits in a very nice area with the main building on one side of the road and a separate property where we stayed on the other. Both are really beautiful and we were surprised by the size and the standard of the property - there's a great little lounge, a cinema room and a lovely dining room. It's really nicely appointed with a deco theme running through. We were warmly welcomed by Xolani who was brilliant, gave us a good tour around and showed us to our room which was pretty stunning. The separate building across the street had its own private parking, a big lounge/kitchen area, a small pool area and then our room was really big with its own garden/sitting area and a big bathroom. It's very nicely done. We hadn't realised that No 5 did food in the evening and, having been impressed by what we'd seen so far, we thought that we'd change our plans and eat there and we had a really good dinner - very decent food in a lovely setting and with friendly and attentive service from David. After a good night's sleep and a great breakfast we were back on the road having thoroughly enjoyed No 5 and being grateful to the staff who made it such a pleasant place to stay. If I was revisiting Port Elizabeth, this is where I'd stay.

We only had an overnight stay but it was utterly superb. Accommodation was enormous and super luxurious, the pool was lovely to laze by for the afternoon, dinner and the wine selection was exceptional. A very elegant property and we highly recommended.

Great location in PE - back from the main road. Service was very good. Breakfast was average. Restaurant was average. Close to Pick & Pay & laundromats. Good value for the price. Would stay again if back in PE.

My partner and I stayed here for only 1 night, the staff were lovely, got shown around the hotel straight away. The suite was massive, very clean and we had the comfiest bed we’ve ever been in. The best sleep. Would recommend highly.
