A Warm Welcome

Contact with the hotel prior to our stay was helpful, resolving an issue. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were helped with our luggage. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast menu had a good variety and breakfast was nicely cooked. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

When you see reviews that say 10/10 Exceptional, half of you doesn't quite believe, the sceptic in me certainly didn't. But I was blown away by this hotel. Chris and Caroline were exceptionally friendly, the Hawkstone beer was a treat and breakfast was superb. The hotel was immaculate and Ideally located for town. Perfect. My only disappointment was that they are fully booked for when I return in September.

We had a fantastic stay at Ravilious – Chris and Caroline are warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. It was the perfect base for exploring Eastbourne and the surrounding countryside. Our room was spotlessly clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Breakfasts were outstanding with so much choice, including vegetarian options, and all beautifully prepared and delicious. We also really appreciated the local restaurant recommendations, which were spot on. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to visit again soon.

Cannot say enough good things about Ravilious, Definitely one of the best smaller properties we have had the pleasure to stay in! (And we travel a lot) The hosts are fantastic & friendly with great knowledge of the local area. Breakfast is a real treat and do delicious with great choices. The Bar is excellent too and Chris makes the BEST cocktails. The Building itself it beautifully and the inside has been really well designed and decorated. If you are in Eastbourne this is the place to stay. a real treat.

What a gem of a boutique hotel! Perfectly located in a charming part of Eastbourne, it’s just a short stroll from a fantastic selection of quality restaurants. Caroline and Chris are truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and full of great local knowledge. The rooms are beautifully appointed with top-notch quality and attention to detail. And the breakfast? Absolutely outstanding. There’s something for everyone: from fresh fruit, cereals, and yogurts to overnight oats and a full English breakfast—all delicious and thoughtfully prepared. During our stay, Caroline and Chris shared great tips for exploring the area, including the best hiking routes along the Seven Sisters and must-visit spots around town. This boutique hotel is an absolute must-stay—you won’t be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our short stay at Ravilious in early April, 2025. Chris and Caroline make all their guests feel so welcome and were so helpful with local knowledge and dining recommendations. The Hotel is superb….a lovely traditional Eastbourne property but with all the modern accessories you could need. Breakfast was delicious freshly cooked food and with so much choice. Parking near the hotel is so easy - either in the free parking or if needs be using a daily permit. Thank you Chris and Caroline….we can’t wait to return.
