We arrrived to hotel Gdansk After midnight via Taxi ( that the hotel had booked for us ) Check in was super easy and no problem at all. The room was a standard hotel room but had tasty coffee. Staff at the hotel are very customer service minded and very friendly to talk with. Scandic is perfectly placed ... Everything is in walking distance and its super easy to get to public transport to go other city areas from the hotel. They kept our bags safe after we checked out and they booked us a taxi when leaving so i very much recommend this hotel..
Situated next to Central station and bus transfer 210 to the AirPort, We took the lokal train to Gdynia and Sopot. We also went to Oliwa by team 12 and bost Westerport. The best mount is August because there is à lot going on in Gdansk. I truly recommend the city and Hotel Scandic!
Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room, great location close to transport hub- we could see the hotel with its neon sign from the railway station Breakfast was excellent-so much choice! Always food available.
We booked at the Scandic at the very last minute, having had an appalling time with our stay elsewhere in Gdansk (read my other reviews if you are interested). It is a little out of the way if you want the Old Town, but is very convenient for trains, buses, trams, and taxis. As we were planning on going to Oliwa that evening and Sopot then the airport the next day, this was perfect for us. It is also well placed for the large Madison shopping centre, as well as other everyday normal shops difficult to find in the Old Town. Due to circumstances, we arrived well before check-in time. However, as we had a booking, there was no problem with them storing our luggage whilst we did other things. Once checked-in we found our room on the 3rd floor to be clean and presentable. As with most hotel chains, everything looks pretty much the same. The hallways to the rooms looked a little like the infinity effect of two mirrors. Being so close to the main train station, trams, and a busy road, there is inevitably traffic noise. However, living in Helsinki, it was nothing unusual for us. We had a comfortable stay, though PLEASE put some extra pillows in the rooms. The one pillow each side is so flat that it's barely worth being there. We had an evening meal which was pleasant, though the waiting staff were so far away it was difficult to attract their attention. Breakfast was comprehensive and filling. Except all variants of coffee, which were awful. Easily the worst of our four day trip in fact. Although our stay was uneventful and relaxing and had nothing bad, I would say it is borderline if we would stay again. There was just nothing that stuck out as special or outstanding, unfortunately.
Gdansk with sopot was a nice place too spend the weekend with friends . Food and drinks as well was good. We will coming back next year. Hotel Scandic Gdansk was nearby evrything in the town. The trainstation to sopot over the street.
Hotel is found just outside Gdansk main railway station, very convenient for those with no own transport. Room was spacious and clean. Rooms were equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and stocks topped up everyday. Also, breakfast was varied and also included gluten free options. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
We stayed one week on July 2017 in Junior Suite, and were very satisfied with hotel. All was working great, it was clean and nice and location is really good. Only few minutes to train station to hop on a train to take you to Sopot beach and about 10 minutes to old town in other direction. Breakfast was good, only negative thing is that it is not included to room price, and price is relatively high compared to common restaurant prices in town.
It was a oood value for the money spent. I had to book a room for a night because of changed plans, but no regrets. The room was perfect, encountered good service at the desk and the hotel bar. The hotel is situated just next to the main station of Gdansk, ideal location.
Friendly and helpful staff, very family oriented hotel. We booked a 5 day stay together with another family and the hotel took extra care to let us check in earlier (from a few hours earlier to 30min earlier) with well-made and clean rooms. We stayed in junior suite rooms, not the most modern "suite" standard, but spacious and perfect fit for a family. The Baltiqa spa is worth a visit. The rooms where you get your treatments are more cosy than the waiting area and the massage therapist was really good. Only comment is: If you want a good breakfast experience, make sure to start before 8:30 (when the rush hour starts and the breakfast areas gets really noisy and crowded). Location is very good, walking distance to most attractions and with train, tram, bus and taxi stops right outside. We will most likely stay at Scandic Gdansk again!
Tidy hotel near railway station. Room was proper as Scandic hotel rooms always are. Staff at the reception was very helpful and answered questions kindly. Bikes for rent were available. Easy to recommend this hotel.
