This was a same day reservation for us. The moment the reservation went in we received a call from a lady that we had to check in bc she had to leave… it was well before 3:00p. She was not very friendly. She told us we had to put breakfast order in writing asap for us to get breakfast next am, and to make sure we check out on time bc the late checkout rm was taken. You are only allowed half hr on the dining room table. Bathroom incredibly small. Hard to sleep, bed squeaks and you could hear everything inside and outside the house. The carpet was disgustingly dirty/stained … luckily it was only one night. We had breakfast somewhere else. We paid close to $800 for one night! Not worth the $$$, would not recommend. The night before we stayed at The Baker House, amazing place!

First my I say how sorry we are that we didn't meet your expectations. We are an extremely professional staff and wish you had talked to any of us during your stay. I think explaining our procedures would be best. When a reservation comes in the same day from a booking company, we always try to contact the guest immediately to find out their arrival time and to see if they will need us to assist with last minute dinner reservations. You can check-in anytime you like but after 9pm we assign a simple lock box. For this reason we always ask your arrival time so we can give you a personal combination for easy access. There is also an emergency number to reach our General Manager who lives on property for assistance should you need it at any time. You checked in at 2:20pm and we did not know you were going to arrive early at the time you booked, so we called right away. When a guest arrives we give you a breakfast menu and ask you to place your order with us by 8pm. We do not take breakfast orders in writing or via email. We are here to take your order personally. We never limit the time a guest has for breakfast. And we always offer late checkouts when asked. We do not have a "late check-out room". We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and would never allow our carpets to be compromised. I can only assume it was shadows through the window. When staying at Historic B & B's, guests should be aware we are creating an atmosphere of home comfort. When selecting a room you can choose from our smallest comfortable Queen room up to our giant America's Cup Suite 40 with a massive bathroom and separate dressing room. You can even watch TV while soaking in your tub. Pictures of all our rooms and suites are shown in great detail on our website.Should you be interested in a return visit I would be glad to offer you a complimentary upgrade into an available suite. Please call me directly for your reservation. Best,Kenny
