It is a nice facility with a lot of staff. The rooms were spacious and clean. The Big Easy restaurant was a nice place to go to do a bit of work. The basic wifi could have been a lot better connected and faster—not really good on the patio. UBER arrives quickly as there is not yet much else around hotel yet. Beautiful, pioneering facility though. Loved the architecture.
When I checked in, they gave me a room near the elevator. They weren’t pleased when I asked them to give me a room away from the elevator noise. I made the request in advance, in writing for a quiet room, non-smoking, on non-smoking floor. I was awakened in the night with people smoking in the room next to me.....what made is worse was we had an adjoining door. At breakfast the scrambled eggs tasted sour. All the above spoiled the entire stay!
The service here was fantastic! There was always someone there when you need them, ready and eager to help. The staff was so polite and accommodating. They really made my 1 week stay wonderful.

Traveled to South Africa from the United States for a safari as well as visits to major South African cities; Johannesburg, Durban & Cape Town. In Durban, we stayed at the Hilton and were incredibly impressed with the hotel staff, amenities, dining options and overall rooms. The staff at the hotel was more than accommodating to all of our needs and questions and went out of their way to make us feel "at home." The hotel offerred an impressive complimentary gym and pool as well as numerous bars and dining options. I would strongly recommend this hotel for both business purposes and leisure stays.
