Room was gorgeous - we stayed in the Arran & it had such old style Scottish charm and a gorgeous standalone bath.
The staff at check in was lovely too.
Would come back again

The staff at the royal Marine would not do any more for you, the room was upgraded to a sea view and that was amazing, we sat and had two beautiful dinners, the dining room is redecorated wonderfully and they even did a santas grotto. It’s like fine dining for incredibly prices, I really wish more people start to visit so they can keep bringing this old hotel back to full glory, they deserve it. Would we stay again absolutely!!

Stayed 3 nights. Staff v pleasant and courteous. Room
The lady who checked us in was lovely however the room was eclectic to say the least, a massive picture of David Bowie on one wall was odd to say the least but more importantly the radiator on the wall didn’t work and neither did the hot water to the sink after having left the tap running for several minutes but it was a clean room

Amazing looking building, my room was really nice, very comfy, lovely big clean bathroom, food was good. Interior Condition is a little tired, but in all a great stay xx
Very friendly staff, room was very nice with a sea view and two big comfortable chairs to sit on looking out to sea watching the car ferry’s coming and going.
The Royal Marine is an historic building, full of history, with an outstanding sea view, transformed internally with the installation of en suite bathrooms etc to suit the modern traveller.
Always a warm welcome, comfy beds, very quiet and peaceful. Staff really go the extra mile. Even brought us plates and cutlery for our takeaway. Lovely old place.

Old and with historic value lovely place to stay , wonderful staff.
Stayed here for one night. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. It is a little dated but it all adds to the character. Would stay here again . 👍Proximity to the ferry was 30 seconds which was great
The Aircon didn't work and we had noisy neighbours but the guy on the desk was lovely the property is nice. Location is good. We would stay again but maybe go up from a budget room to a slightly bigger one x
