The property is in need of repairs.
The Tingum Village Hotel is super nice managed by the owner Baby Ruby who together with her friendly staff takes care about all requests of her guests always with a smile. Great that you get a club car for free during your stay to cruise around Harbour Island. The property is in good condition and is really a hidden romantic true Bahama's place. The Sunday evening jazz was great as well as the dinners we had 2 times at the Tingum. We will come back! Thank you Baby Ruby for a wonderful stay!
After reading reviews of this place, we expected so much more. The reviews were the most misleading that I’ve ever experienced with Orbitz. This property is so worn down and below the 3 star rating that is claimed.
Muskito, the shower are salt water, rust, cleanest
I was very disappointed in this hotel. In general, it is very run down starting with the sign at the entrance to the hotel and continuing with the unraveling wicker chair in the eating area, and much more. Regarding my room, to start with the entrance way to my room was covered with dirty sand that was impossible not to get all over your shoes and immediately get all over the white tile floor in the room. The room itself was dingy and poorly lit. The bathroom was no better, there were small ants running all over the sink, the walls were broken plaster and tiles, and the tub faucets were horrible, they were very heavily covered with severe corrosion, and the mirror was terrible. The staff was very nice and polite, but did nothing at all to correct any problems that I reported such as the ants, and the TV that was not working in my neighbors room her entire stay despite reporting it every day. They would politely say that they would fix the problem, but nothing was ever done.
The Tingum Village is centrally located & very nice. We arrived 2 days late because of unforeseen delays, & Juanita, the owner, called Orbitz with us & got our money refunded!! We loved our king size bed, comfy room, & complimentary breakfast on our veranda every morning. The staff were so helpful & kind: all amazing servants. We've stayed at places much more expensive but will go back to Tingum Village because everything was so much to our liking. Thank you, Juanita, Lee, & Michael, for making our stay in paradise a little piece of heaven.
The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The property is a little outdated but the rooms were clean, AC worked well. In terms of quality and price I thought it was very reasonable.
