Beautiful building, great staff. Room was quite small.
An old building made modern. They kept some original features that make this hotel special, but modernized the rooms for comfort.
Centrally located but a bit noisy as a result. Dark rooms as typical for this chain. Restaurant food excellent.
Staff were very friendly, the room itself was quite dusty Location was great
When we checked in, there was a space in front of the hotel that was labeled a loading zone. We pulled in. There was a line at check-in so we had to wait. Then we took our bags up to our room, coming down immediately to move the car from the loading zone only to find a 60 pound ticket from the City of Dundee. When we asked for assistance from two of the front-desk staff (that evening and the next morning) we were told that there was nothing they could do to assist with the ticket. We were not warned about this unbelievably strict parking policy (a ticket in 11 minutes, according to the ticket writer) by the staff or assisted with the issue. When I suggested to the desk person the next morning that they should at least let people know about the parking situation, he seemed less than interested. One other thing to know: the floors creak--we were awakened numerous times by the people above--and they were certainly not stomping.
