Seneca lake house

Property was right on lake. Stayed in late October and fall colors were beautiful. The weather was perfect. Really enjoyed our stay.

Total relax

The house is located 12 min. away from the downtown in a forest. Far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Close enough to go for lunch or visit park as many times as you want. House was enough for our family of 5, we used pull out bad in the living room. Deck at the lake was beautiful, water clear, my boys couldn't get enough of it. We brought paddle board that we used daily. The binder of restaurants and places to visit was very useful. Don't ignore 4x4 requirement to get there. You truly DO! We had very nice stay just before school start, something that everyone needed. Highly recommended

Beautiful views

Beautiful lake views - clean modern comfortable living spaces. We were two couples traveling together- nice divided spaces with decks for both bedrooms. We went hiking and wine tasting. Gravel driveway is steep. Really enjoyed our stay!

Fall Weekend

We had a lovely time waking up to the sunrise through the trees, touring wineries and hiking at Watkins Glen before coming back to the house and cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The house definitely checked all of our boxes for a weekend getaway in beautiful surroundings.

Nice quiet getaway

Nice house in a very quiet neighborhood. Bed sheets were a little dirty but we had brought our own anyway. 4wd is highly recommend. Long winding stone road downhill to get to the house. View was great. Ceiling fan in bedroom didnt work. House made for a nice long weekend getaway.

My Honest Opinion

Honestly, I had mixed emotions about my stay. Yes the house was very nice and clean, but way too overpriced. I understand there were expensive fixtures, but not necessary as it is the house that should be the main price point. The dock is nice, but is really only for swimming, there is nowhere to put in paddleboards or kayaks. When you go down to the dock, there are multiple houses and another set of stairs right on your property (not shown in pictures) there is a house right on top of the vacation home as well. Also, it is off the beaten path, so not good for someone wanting to go explore because there is nothing around and hard to get to the house. We had multiple problems with lights (not working) and the bathroom door being very difficult to open and close. It was very hard to sleep at night due to the loud noises of heaters turning off and on. My main concern is that I had to leave early due to wildfire smoke from Canada coming into New York. I absolutely understand that this is not the homeowner's fault, but I inquired about a partial refund and they said no (at least they reply quickly). The house smelled of smoke and the outside smelled of burning. This is a health concern (no air purifier). The house should not even have been rented out at this time for the safety of the guests. I would have liked a partial refund (because we did stay a night), or a different date reinbursment. Overall, not very private, not comfortable, and disappointed in the services.

Family vaca

The house is tucked away off the beaten path, but still close to get breweries, wineries, and eateries. Even before we went in the house we went down to the water. It was amazing. We quickly ran up to the house ( all 75 steps) to change into our swim suits. From swimming to sitting (inside or out) it was beautiful and peaceful. We also met the neighbor, super nice guy fun to talk to.

We had no hot water for good stretches of our stay and our property manager was in no rush to help us. The house is in a good location though
