We loved the rooms and the hosts were excellent!
The pub is charming old world and the hotel part is fine but the breakfast room is grimy. The breakfast is adequate. I don't expect Ritz glitz in a budget BnB but I do expect cleanliness and maybe a smile. The Farmer's Inn is family run so we just don't know what is happening in the proprietor's life but he seemed gruff and not very welcoming. Also, in the middle of the night a shed door blew open and then blew shut with a slam. Again and again and again. And again. My husband finally got up to see what was happening and got the door lodged closed but it will happen again if some sort of hatch is not installed. Then at breakfast the door to the kitchen has a horrible squeak that could be easily fixed with a spritz of WD-40, or equivalent. Meanwhile, the area around the door handle of the door to the conservatory is grimy as are the blinds and windows. Again, we don't expect Ritz glitz but it doesn't cost much to clean a bit.
