Stayed one night on way to Scotland. Would not stay again except that we had a dog and they would take him. It was clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The service station is useful but also not much good. It is easy to get to the Smithy if you want to see that as well as the Outlet Shopping
Stayed here for the night whilst me and my partner looked for potential wedding venues . Great value for money ! Lovely friendly staff ! Ideal location for getting to surrounding places ! Only negatives were shower temperature could of been hotter and tea , coffee and milk could of been on larger quantities in room !
i booked two rooms for my family on return from the highlands for an overnight stay. the rooms were numbers 9 and 50 which are family rooms. the bed mattresses in both rooms were quite frankly unfit for purpose with noisy springs, sagging, and so worn you could feel the base underneath when laying on them. The same applies to both rooms so not a one off. there was a large amount of mould on the bathroom ceiling in room 9 and in room 50 there was mould around the bath the shower rail was so rusty it was now orange in colour and the water came out of the shower like it would from a tap and the towel heater was hanging from the wall. the general appearance of both rooms were awful with stains around the bed bases and the skurting boards were filthy, net curtains in both rooms were hanging off the widows, in room 9 their were stains on my granddaughters mattress and on the cover. although this is a budget hotel there is no excuse for cleanliness. Days inn i wouldnt stay there for another minute let alone a day.
Standard low budget at a service station hotel. The staff were very nice. The family room was nice and big. The décor was a bit old and a tad scruffy but it did us as a base for a few days. The shower was very powerful. Would recommend as a stop off point.
We came up from Portsmouth for a wedding at Gretna green. The hotel was great for location and had everything we needed. Budget wise this hotel was great and very reasonable for the two nights we stayed.
We used this hotel as a stop off point on our travels. We had our dog with us so booked a dog room however this was one of our worst experiences. We have stopped at dog friendly hotels before which have been lovely but this hotel was awful. We was given our room key after paying a additional fee of £5 for the dog to stop which we was not aware of however at 1am didn't want to dispute this so paid it. When we walked into the room the smell was absolutely awful and the carpets had not be cleaned. We went back to ask at reception for another room and the two ladies on reception didn't even apologise and handed us another key for a different room. The next room was not any better and we found cleaning products in the bathroom, due to the time and having to be up in a few hours we went to sleep however the sheets and pillows were that bad we didn't even sleep in the covers. Our dog for the majorty of the night was walking around and sniffing due to the smell in the room. We never normally comment on any bad experiences however this hotel was dirty, smelly and the staff was not apologetic at all and would not return.
Check in was seamless and we were dealt with in a very professional and courteous manner. Room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We tend to stay here every time we visit Scotland and after this stay, we will continue to do so. I can recommend this hotel whole heartedly.
Basic , no frills.Clean ,comfortable bed ,friendly helpful staff, easily accessible from the motorway. Good continental breakfast ,facilities out side of hotel within easy reach. Happy to recomnend this hotel to fellow travellers .Good value for money.
Grubby room. Cup provided for coffee had what looked like the remains of Ajax or some other cleaning powder in lumps in the bottom of it, so decided to manage without a drink. Unfriendly night receptionist, although morning receptionist was nice.
Good stop off point if travelling to/from north of Scotland, dogs allowed.Clean, comfortable bed, quiet with chain eateries across from Inn. Refurbished room and shower room an improvement from last year, but rather cold in shower as no heating(previously provided by heated towel rail). Receptionist particularly welcoming.
