Ambiance and surrounding neighborhood was awesome. Character and charm were cozy. Pastries and coffee/tea were 😋 delicious.
Frustrated upon learning that VRBO is NOT Heritage Houses. Tried for a week to find a contact/someone to whom i could pay my bill. Upon arrival stood outside the front door a long time trying to discover/to find out how to enter. Finally another guest showed us a tiny "more" button at the bottom of the page. Next were two more interior doors, one would lock out guests and cleaners from access.
Asked repeatedly about the abundance of extra fees (which nearly doubled our final payment), received a "that's how it is!" Anticipate seven additional taxes!
My scariest moment was not when we nearly fell through the patios or decks, but was when I could NOT unlock the back sundeck door. Fire escapes were conveniently located, but rusty. I felt trapped.
There wasn't any closet, hangers or hooks. The decor was absolutely beautiful, but the light bulbs kept burning out. Even when the maintenance person replaced them, they simply shorted out 15 minutes later. We waited 10 minutes for hot water, but i forgave the old building for trying to stretch out into a multi motel from having been a single dwelling in its hey day.
Our stay was like the piano. The Young Chang piano is a magnificent piano, sadly out of tune.
