My husband and I booked a trip to the Outerbanks for a holiday weekend a few weeks before. The price of the hotel was high, but that may be due to our last minute travel plans. We had a great experience at Sanderling. We did not spend much time at the resort because we were busy exploring the Outerbanks and nearby towns/areas, but enjoyed the time we spent at the resort (half day at beach, short visit to tranquility pool, cocktail at bar and one meal at restaurant--Lifesaving Station, and our room). I was impressed with the very clean and spacious room. The beach was also very nice; I spent a few hours at the beach one morning, it was very clean and pretty quiet. It seemed to get a little more crowded when I was leaving the beach, around early afternoon. But still, it was pretty quiet considering it was a holiday weekend. There is nothing negative to say about my experience, other than the ice bucket in our room smelled a little funky, but I am sure if I had mentioned it, they would have delivered a new one to us. I would definitely recommend this resort for couples or families. I liked that there was an adult-only pool, which was very peaceful, but even the other pool was not very crowded. The resort was very clean and welcoming. I look forward to visiting again in the future, but will probably look to book in advance next time!

We had a great time. Very nice facilities. Clean. All new. The only downside was very slow service at breakfast.

WE LOVED OUR ROOM AND THE WATERFALL WAS VERY NICE TO SIT ON THE PORCH AND VIEW. WONDERFUL PLACE WOULD STAY AGAIN.
