The hotel is in an ideal location with frequent public transport to/from the Old Town. Rooms spacious, comfortable and very clean. Staff very friendly, courteous and efficient. Food excellent in terms of quality, choice and quantity. Highly recommended if contenplating a trip to Dubrovnik.
It's taken me a while to review this hotel but I travelled in June last year and was very pleasantly surprised. It's not the prettiest hotel in the world but very clean and with a lovely pool. It's not too far to walk into the old town but the bus goes directly from the hotel anyway and is very cheap. Staff all very nice and friendly and food pretty decent. All in all I would definitely recommend, it's great value for money.
Spent a week here in April. We arrived early for check in but our room was ready. Room was a good size, cleaned to a good standard and the safe and fridge are free. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was the same every day. Usual selection of pastries, meat, cheese, cereal as well as hot food and fresh omelettes and pancakes which we enjoyed. Most of the restaurant staff were very pleasant. There is a small shopping complex at the back of the hotel with some bars and pubs and small market shops. Prices were much lower here than other parts of Dubrovnik. Continue down and you will come to Copacabana beach. Tips - Hotel is a lovely 20 minute coastal walk into Lapad which has lots of places to eat/drink. Follow signs for Levanat restaurant to get on to the road. Number 6 bus stop across from the hotel takes you to pile gate and also goes through Lapad. 30 kuna for a 24 hour unlimited ticket from the hotel Shop or 12 kuna 1 way. Takes 10/20 minutes depending on how busy the stops are. Overall the hotel was cheap and great for what we needed it for, as a base for exploring Dubrovnik. For higher quality the Valamar Lacroma next door looked amazing
this huge hotel is only about 35 minutes from the airport but our taxi cost over $50. public transportation options would take over an hour with a bus ride then shuttle. we opted for uber back to the airport and it was quite a bit less. staff at the hotel, especially the front desk is really great, friendly and helpful. its about 4 minutes from the bus to go to old town or the close village which is a 20 walk. be sure to take the walk along the water behind the hotel, very nice and about 45 minutes. pool was nice for a dip, breakfast has decent options although it closes exactly at 10 am and they start clearing up before that (sugars all off the table at 0948.) fresh squeezed oj for a added price. room was clean and adequate but the a/c didn't work and the beds were quite soft. wifi was very sketchy, best right by the front desk and rarely worked in the room. all this gets overlooked considering the 60EU per night that we paid and Dubrovnik is not a cheap visit but its worth every penny. beautiful city! hotel suited our needs well.
Spent a week here to visit Dubrovnik. Fantastic hotel; have stayed in 5× hotels that could learn from the staff and service provided by the Tirena. WiFi across the hotel, staff going that extra mile to help us with a room upgrade at a realistic cost. Situated at the tip of the Bab in Kuk Peninsula, it is easy to catch the No6 bus into the Medeval Old Town. You can walk East along the cliffs to the small town / shops & restaurants / bars and beach or East around the bay to the marina's with great restaurants and shops. Take a break in the pool just outside the hotel or walk down to the two stunning beaches just on its door step. Great value for money; the beds a comfortable, the rooms and facilities are clean and food is great, straightforward and holesom.
This hotels location is excellent, situated a 30 minute taxi ride from the airport and near to Dubrovnik old town. My partner and I are in our 20’s and don’t mind walking so this hotel was perfect for us. It is a twenty minute walk down the coastal path to Lapad which is very enjoyable. Lapad is a lovely little resort with a beach and has lots of places to eat and drink, it is particularly lovely to come here in the evening and watch the sun set over the sea. From Lapad you can then walk onto Dubrovnik old town which is a further 30 to 45 minute depending on your walking speed. It is all signposted and is a longish but easy walk. If you don’t fancy walking there is a bus right outside the hotel that goes down to the old town every half an hour or so. The hotel in itself isn’t luxurious but is comfortable and clean( the vvlamar hotels next door are a touch more upmarket). The pool is nice and has ample sun beds. Dinners are self service with a large variety of food to choose from some of it nice some of it not so! Breakfast was my favourite with lots of fresh fruit on offer and freshly made omelettes to order. The hotel is next to a little shopping mall that has shops, bars and cafes. It’s a five minute stroll down to Copaabana beach which is shingle but has spectacular views of the mountains and is a great place to watch the cruise ships coming in to dock. All in all I throughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to travellers of all ages!
Holiday with five friends. Great holiday Great Hotel. Dubrovnik is fabulous and we'll worth visit. Hotel was very good. Rooms food etc. Bus into town just at the roundabout outside hotel. The hotel has good restaurant food great. We had half board and always great selection . Bar price's bit expensive but it's nice to be able to have a drink after dinner.
This is exceptionally good for three star. The staff is very pleasant and attentive and the hotel generally is very well run. It is part of a holiday complex which includes other hotels, restaurants/bars, and shops. There are lovely walks, all paved and well signposted, along the coast to Lapad and also to the New Harbour and even to the Old Town if you feel up to it! If you don’t feel up to the walk, the bus terminal is very close by which means that the no 6 bus ends in Dubrovnik old town in one direction and at the Babin Kuk holiday complex in the other - you can’t go wrong! There is a well-served bar which also provides nice snacks and also a self-service carvery/restaurant which is of very good standard with a huge choice for all diets at a very resonable cost. We have no reservations in recommending this hotel.
We recently returned from a few days stay at this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel staff were very welcoming on arrival, and helpful on advising us on the local transport or trips. The room were clean, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. wifi was excellent within the hotel. The breakfasts each morning were plentiful, self service and lots of choice from a hot and cold selection, including cereals, danish pastries, cheeses and various meats avaliable.
