Well run hotel and super friendly staff. Great location.

If you want to experience thd Old City you can't do any better than this. This is a beautiful boutique hotel nestled on a small street just steps from all the "action". The room was modern, well furnished and exceptionally clean with a cute kitchenette and a nice dining table. The table was necessary because each morning we were served a beautiful breakfast in our room. With fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, cakes, meat, cheese and even a hot platter of eggs everyone was more than satisified. Try the green smoothie! The staff was excellent and helpful in every way possible. They escorted us in and out of the Old City to our taxi as well as helping with ferry information and, of course, city recommendations. My family and I could not have asked for a better experience! Absolutely top notch!

The St. Joseph is an excellent choice when it comes to 3 criteria: a super location in the most central zone of Dubrovnik`s old city; front desk personel which is always helpful, courteous and efficient; a charming, subdued, tasteful decor. However, it does not come ahead when other criteria are applied. One big defficiency: value for the money paid. I reserved what they call a Deluxe Queen Suite; the excellent photos at their website made me expect a super room. Inn reality, it was just a nicely decorated smallish standard room with a queen size bed. The St. Joseph presents itself as a "boutique hotel". If you are accustomed to the super decor, the fantastic lobbies and common áreas, the large super luxury rooms, and fantastic breakfasts that the term "boutique hotel" means in places like Yucatán (Mexico) or Cartagena (Colombia), well, you are in for a big dissapointment... The St. Joseph`s just does not make it to this league. Their breakfast, for example, is the most continental of the continentals - reduced to the 3 bare essentials of one, one ee, one juice, one croissant and one chocolate filled pastry.. There are alternatives.

Loved every second of my stay at St. Joseph's Hotel. Exactly where you want to be in Old Town- right in the middle of it but not too noisy. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff who had amazing suggestions for food and outings. Robert was stellar- I highly recommend staying here.
