In July 2017 I stayed here in a Superior King Room which included breakfast for 2 guests. That is what our office booked even though I was travelling alone. (Odd) Nevertheless the room had cob webs all along the bathroom windows, the exhaust fan was absolutely filthy and dropped dust on you as you were in the shower. The sliding door to the outside couldn't keep an inquisitive dog out let alone a person wanting to break in while you are asleep. Finally the air conditioner was at least twenty years old and the compressor clunked in and out all night. With an overnight temperature of just 2 degrees it needed to be on, but due to its noise you could not get to sleep. The next day I asked for a heater which I was provided. Coffee machine did not work and just strained out brown water. Tea in the room was a safer option! I took the ironing board out to iron a shirt and was met with a large coffee stain on the ironing board cover. Used the bathroom towel to cover it to avoid staining my shirt. When I received the invoice I was charged for breakfast. I wrote to the hotel and this was refunded. I have stayed at this hotel many times, only because of its convenience, however enough is enough and unless improvements are made and a reassurance of these improvements is undertaken I'll chose another hotel.
Stayed 3 nights here whilst touring the region and seeing the sights. Great location being close to the Zoo and only a few minutes drive to town. Extremely helpful Reception staff during booking process and stay. Had a King room at the rear of the property which was clean and comfortable. It did suffer from some noise from the adjacent rooms and Golf club car park, but overall we enjoyed our stay. We had dinner in the busy Restaurant and the food was of a high standard with very helpful staff.
First time staying on business and it was a great find. Very clean and rooms smelt great. The room were comfortable and the bed was just great - no saggy mattress here! Linen was crisp and fresh. The room had everything I needed. Nice an quiet location too.
Stayed here for two nights on our way to Qld. Very close to Dubbo zoo and not too far from town centre. Room was veryclean, bed comfy, and water pressure great. We stayed in an executive room, which was towards the back of the hotel, so didn't get much road noise, if any. Hotel is walking distance to golf club for dining. (Not a very pretty place to eat, but food was great).
Our business held a 2 day conference here, this included venue, catering, presentation equipment, group dinner and accommodation for all attendees. Every aspect was amazing. The food was exceptional, the rooms lovely, dinner 10/10! I will be recommending this venue for future functions and conferences.
The hotel is fantastically situated near the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the water pressure in the shower was good (especially after the drive there). There could have been a little more on offer at breakfast, but the food provided was fresh and the cooked food was hot. I'd recommend staying here if you're in town.
Really enjoyed my latest stay, awesome service. Restaurant is amazing renovations have improved the property . Certainly can recommend this property. Have also used their function facilities and they just excel.
We stayed on a Sunday night and arrived without a booking. The rates seem to change between booking sites to what you get quoted at the desk so recommend pre book. The rooms are pricey but comfortable. There is Foxtel but only 6 channels, no movie channels which is a bummer. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and they tell you to go to the golf club behind. Not happy as wanted onsite food given the price paid. Cooked breaky is $18 each. Maccas, KFC and HJs nearby as alternative. Ground floor units best with park at door, otherwise you hump luggage up stairs.
I attended a dinner function here recently and understand that the staff were all very helpful and accommodating with setup and other arrangements. I found the food to be only average, but it was a large group. However, it was well priced. But, their bar prices were high. I was very surprised with how much some bottles of wine cost me!
A decent place to stay when travelling for work. Service from the front desk was excellent, an extremely friendly and helpful lady. Room was fine, although it is one of those hotels where you can hear every noise from the room next door. This may seem trivial but toilet paper roll is well placed. Nothing is more annoying then having to perform a complicated yoga move to access the loo paper!
