Quality Inn Dubbo International

Even though the Motel was out of town it was ideal to be close to the Zoo. The Motel was tidy and well managed however the surrounds needed a revamp and signs re theft were off putting. The Golf course was next door which was a plus. We did not try the restaurant & food facilities. We would try elsewhere next time we were in Dubbo

We checked in for just one night and it was okay. The biggest issue was the aircon which didn't cool down the room; The duty manager tried to help by offering us another room but it was no better. It was of course very hot - but that's Dubbo and kind of expected surely? It wasn't very clean either with the bathroom being the worst; looked like the room had been closed for a month with loads of dead and alive bugs. Bed was large and soft but very old and saggy. Pool was a great temperature but the whole pool area was dirty. Outside areas are just shabby - not what you expect from a Quality Inn brand. Restaurant and bar closed for 2 weeks. We are traveling around Oz so have a bit of cold stuff and the mini bar fridge was tiny and full of items for sale - so not good if you need to chill stuff. Place needs a good clean and fix up and paint, in my view. Receptionist lovely but she can only work with what she has bless her. I'd give it 3 stars.

On the positive this motel is close to the zoo, has an efficient A/c and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. On the negative it has the basic requirements but is very tired and in need of refurbishment when compared to other motels on the same road in similar price range. Also the wifi kept dropping out and at times would not connect.

The room I was allocated had multiple issues- dirty floor, dirty coffee cup, half used body lotion and was noisy. Apart from that the cold water tap was malfunctioning and only hot or wam water came out of the tap. I was not happy at all and so spoke to the manager. I was given another room which was an upgrade, At the back of the property. This one was very nice, quiet and in a clean condition. The hotel restaurant is fabulous.

Stayed here recently for 1 night. Room was nice and clean, starting to show some age. King bed was great, good nights sleep. Air con was nice and quite, kept room comfy compared to outside temp. View across the golf course was great, quite room with no traffic noise from the Highway close by. All staff met were very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again, good place.

Stayed in a King Room located at rear of property away from the Main road. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. Bathroom was also very clean. Room was very dark once Blinds were closed. Have stayed here before and wanted to try again. We worth staying here if visiting Dubbo.

We had a nights stay here in November, we found it to be very clean and tidy, the king bed was so comfy, the meals at dinner in the restaurant were delicious. Everything about it was to our liking, and they were very nice people......We will go there again. They have a pool in the back which was clean and it's got a fence around it so kids are safe...We had breakfast also and it was a buffet style, you can go back for more if you want....

Stayed here several times over winter. A terrific hotel. Rooms set back from the road are best to reduce your exposure to the road noise, but wherever you are here, it’s a lot more peaceful than Cobra street! Book to get a table in the busy restaurant. Really great food (my favourite was the scotch fillet). People travelling alone can get a seat near the bar, but couples or families should book early so as not to miss out. There are corporate rooms (with a seperate study) that are brilliant. The pool looks nice - but too cold to check out when I was there. Service is always friendly and very helpful.

Stayed two nights in a renovated room - I'm not normally one to critique rooms but the reno's looked like a bit of a rush job although still comfortable. Could hear the guest upstairs walking around their room all hours of the night. A bit out of town but close to the zoo which suited us. Bugs! When we first walked in there were mosquitoes smashed on the wall - thought it may have been a rogue mozzie from the previous guests overlooked by housekeeping but later that night we saw different - there were mosquitoes and little insects coming in from who knows where (I think a gap under the door). Broken cord in the charging station caused a few sparks - this was rectified by staff promptly and taken out of the room. Restaurant food was amazing! Quick and yummy with great wine selection. Having stayed at the Quality Inn at Armidale had high expectations (not sure this one is part of the Tamworth & Armidale establishments)

I had a great sleep mattress so comfortable i took a picture of the label so l have a record when l go to buy a mattress. Rooms little small but comfortable and clean. we were on 2nd level it was a bit of a drudge carrying luggage up the stairs. Parking was a little tight but ok.
