We were travelling from Qld after driving all day and desperately needed to stop, I had wrongly read somewhere on the internet amongst the haste that the reception was open until 10pm, which was untrue & it was much earlier - my mistake I should have called ahead. We get into Dubbo at 9pm and the manager had put a sign on the door with my name and room number as well as stating that the key was left in the door - despite them having a lock box. We found this to be a disgusting invasion of privacy and safety. A local came to us shocked and concerned about it and told us how dangerous it could be, especially with many inebriated people walking by (which we witnessed as it was a weekend). We took the room as we were tired and it was cheap, but we got what we paid for. Sheets were dirty as was the carpet and tiles in bathroom with hair floating about. The hot and cold water were on the same tap despite there being two, controlling it was difficult and I burnt myself a few times. People were hooning past all night as well as other guests coming and going loudly all night and the manager was rude and barely spoke to us the next day. It's worth it to pay a bit more and go elsewhere.
I stopped overnight as it was a quick visit for a family matter. Great friendly staff who offered me a number of options for my stY and went out of their way to get me checked in early at my request. Clean room and very comfy bed. There was plenty of extra blankets and pillows although it was 32. Degrees so didn't bed them. The bathroom appeared to be merely renovated and was spotless. Good facilities with a restaurant and pool......and very close to the center of town.
Typical country deal out-dated rooms / in need of refreshment. Car park ridiculous! Too tight made for damage to your car -watch others and their swinging doors! Restaurant equipped with rudeness and overpriced - needs adjustment. Avoid unless necessary. Overall Comfort Inn was a bit disappointing.
Great clean comfortable place for overnight stays. Just hope you don't get a family of undisciplined children above you. The managers were helpful and friendly and it's quite well positioned for accessing shops and restaurants.
This hotel had everything we needed. We were staying for a night while visiting the local zoo for 2 days. The room was spacious and clean. Had everything we needed such as DVD player, Foxtel, Tea and coffee making, iron. Free wifi was an added bonus. We used the swimming pool also which was great for the kids. Would stay again.
From the outside this motel looks a little older than others nearby but as soon as we got to our room the space was very generous the bed was very comfortable and although the bathroom is a little outdated the shower was hot and plenty of water. This motel was very functional and nice for the price. There is a little traffic noise but it didn't brother us at all and we had the same issue down the road for a prior stay. Its on the highway. Location is great and easy walk to restaurants and shopping. In my opinion this isn't a typical tight budget motel it was reasonably priced and very roomy. Thanks for having us.
We stayed in a family room. One queen bed and two singles. The room looks a bit dated from the outside because of the old service hatches but was modern, warm and comfortable on the inside. Very clean. Shower was hot, A/C Heater was a modern, quiet, well positioned inverter model, not the noisy, hole in the wall type. No restaurant on site but the Lion's Pride grill bar restaurant was recommended by reception. It is directly across the side street from the motel and was excellent. All standard items like microwave and fridge etc present and working. Simple place to spend the night while on route. Very quiet even though its on the main drag Highly recommended for under a $150 for family room in Dubbo overnight.
Although the rooms could have done with some updating especially the bathroom, they were clean and tidy. The place was clean and tidy and the bathroom was nice, with a great shower. The staff were helpful and obliging and we had free wifi. We both had a very comfortable night with no noise, which was great
Found this a reasonable priced place to stay whilst enroute to elsewhere. Staff were friendly. Room had a bit of renovating done in bathroom but was missing the finishing touches. Rest of room outdated. Was quite noisy at night with a lot of traffic noise coming through.
very helpful manager, room had microwave, room clean, beds comfy but soooooo noisy even with earplugs and aircon on. Shame...but I will try to find a quieter motel next time. But better than sleeping in the car.
