The staff are very friendly and efficient and do everything they can to accommodate you. However, unless you’re taking a taxi everywhere, most of the staff aren’t familiar with local directions/ metro stations so I would be prepared. Great overall.
It was a great hotel with great staff. Only thing that bothered was that they were still going through renovation and switching restaurants. Llus no gift shop
The room were old, the mattresses were horrible, the staff that would call us cabs took forever to get a cab. The hotel was advertised as easy acess to the city but was in middle of no where. Definitely one of the worst hotels I have stayed at.

I stayed for 2 days & it is not that far from major tourist attractions. Taxis can take you to these sites within 15 minutes, if no traffic. Also probably 15 to 20 dirhams. Roof top bar is awesome & also the night life in Russian bar in first level is very interesting. People in reception are really good. Shout out goes to Mr Zain. Lobby does have a counter for night desert safari trips. Don’t miss it ! One setback was the smell in the room & people in reception did change me into another room.
Premises are stunning but not well maintained. Room is very comfortable and services superb.
The Melia hotel is a nice, updated hotel in a pretty good location with plenty of stores & restaurants within walking distance. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The staff was fantastic, everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful during our entire stay. The rooftop pool is a bit small, but has a great city view and plenty of lounging space. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food, but there are several restaurants onsite. A few things that could be improved. The internet in our room was slow all the time and the front desk had no real solutions. The TV in the rooms are inside the mirror and very difficult to watch. We didn't spend much time in the room watching TV so it wasn't a big deal, but is a really strange set-up. The hotel shuttle from the airport was overpriced.....more than double the price of a taxi. With the ease of taking taxis in Dubai, this seems extreme. Overall a great hotel!
I had a very good experience in the hotel Melia, Dubai. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Service was great and the hotel was very clean. The Buffett breakfast was well worth the money and they had a wide variety of stuff to choose from. I would most definitely stay there again. I was impressed.
The experience was great overall except there is a night club on the first floor. We had a room on the 2nd floor and we could hear the music until 3am.
I was welcomed in my room with a macaroon, a chocolate an a chocolate covered strawberry. the bed was big and the bathroom lovely. the room was surprisingly large as well. the location seemed slightly out of the way but it was 20 minutes from the airport. the staff were eager and fantastic. will definitly consider staying here - and taking advantage of the spa and rooftop bar, next time.
This hotel was simply amazing, it was sooooo much for an awesome price.

I love this hotel but the amount of rules a paying customer has to adhere to is a bit much. Coming to Dubai to visit friends, I was not "allowed" to bring my friends to my room which was very frustrating.
I've stayed in a number of Melia Hotels worldwide. The rooms and the restaurants were absolutely up to Melia standards. The only drawback for me was the location. You not far from the airport, but rather far from the city center. The drive to the city is riddled with traffic lights and lots of them. Rooms were superb. I stayed on the top level. There's a rooftop pool.
I had one of the most saprise in my life. When I entered my room, I found my name displaying on the television, being welcomed to the hotel
