I stayed at this apt for 2 nights and was extremely respectful. I travel often and treat other's homes and properties as I would my own. After I checked out, I realized that I didn't get my full security deposit back. The security deposit was more than the total cost for 2 nights, and THEY KEPT OVER HALF THE DEPOSIT.
I messaged the host regarding my deposit and was falsely accused of stealing a knife, stealing a sink stopper and lamp, and spilling something on the carpet. To prove this, the host sent me a picture of a dirty carpet which had a timestamp that I am sure the host forgot to remove which showed a DATE BEFORE MY CHECK IN, and a picture of a sink with a missing stopper. I had a video of when I walked into the apartment and sent screenshots which show that whatever damage they were trying to FALSELY ACCUSED me of existed at the time that I checked in. However, the host just kept saying they are going to "investigate to ensure a fair process" and ended up saying that I can't prove that I didn't steal the knife and therefore they would not refund me my deposit. I boarded an international flight from Dubai after I checked out, obviously without a knife.
This host FRAUDULENTLY accused me with evidence that had timestamps before my arrival which proves that he is lying, and then asked me to prove that I was innocent (despite his own picture proving that).
BEWARE OF BOOKING as you may also be accused of stealing a knife and charged more than your stay. UNETHICAL.
